Clutch slipping over 300bhp

Featured Replies

So I now have anti lag and launch control working and 2 switches i will probably never use these much at all but they were set up as a favour.

The anti lag works fine however when using the launch control it feels like the clutch slips as the car with judder a lot before it can build up speed.

Is this due to the fact that the car is running 312bhp on just a standard clutch and struggles to put it all down under launch control? It works fine without the launch.

Find a nice quiet road, drive in low revs in 3rd and floor it, when the turbo comes in if revs go up without accelerating you know the clutch is on its way out.

I will give that a go. Hopefully not the clutch packing in though i only got a new one last year. I was thinking is it to much power for a standard clutch?

What ftlb is it running? thats what kills clutches.

At 312bhp on a 2.0 (assumign 2,0 here) torque is prob under 300 so shouldn't be too harsh. hard launches can kill clutches though
