Bill
Hi all I have heard several stories about turbo up pipes (the one's with cat in ) if I change mine to an sti version, as I have a 2004 wrx.do I need to get a remap straight away or will the car run ok ? Sandals
The car will run fine but you won't see any benefit. Also, you will get the check engine light on as the catted pipe has a temp sensor. A little resistor in the plug will remove it or a mapper can remove the error.
Bill
I will have to get a full system and a remap then as I'm looking for a nice improvement in performance

Seminole81
Sorry to thread hijack, but I've got a cat back at the moment, if you get turbo back/decat will you fail MOTs?
Piggysniffer
Almost certainly unless you have a tame mot tester or maybe a sports cat
