Any Soobs come from the factory with those  skinny spares....? apparently over half of all new cars dont have the traditional spare now...tyre repair kits or skinnies or run-flat tyres...looking for a skinny  for an old sf forester ....any specialist wheel guys to recommended...or other tips ?

Anyone know if the forester 15" rims have the same stud pattern and position as any other cars so I can widen the search a bit...Thanx JB

Have you tried a full size wheel in the well ? It should fit.

The stud pattern is 5x100 and the foz offset is 48

Quite a lot of the German marques (vag group) Have the same.

No probs no hijack, but thats my point.....how can one find out what fits what?

Stant's info above should help...but no-one seems to know or won't say... I just wikied  'platform design' where the principles of general standardisation of certain componentes is explained...    But another thing... i have just been sourcing  two front discs for the Forester, to be told by the motorfactor ooh thats a tricky one we'll have to do  some research..... are you seriously telling me theres no other vehicle on the planet that has the same format as the forester?.  its a steel disc of a certain thickness a certain diameter and  certain stud hole and central hole specs.. there should be a way to feed that info in and up comes yeah its the same as a Toyota blah and a mishitibus blah and a nissan blah or ... but I go to the factors and they say best off going to Subaru ... pleeez...

Motor factors are useless when it comes to stuff like this, as it always throws up 'this product has more than one fitment etc.

From memory standard monoblock calipers take a 277mm vented disc thickness is 24mm, best off having a look at a specialist like Godspeed then if your not happy with the range or cost stick it in Google and it will bring up loads of stuff, cheap discs are about 25quid a side iirc

Current spec STi has space saver as standard.

You may not want to buy from a scrappy, mine is the original space saver so it's 20 In July.

I've been debating carrying it for a while, thinking about it makes no sense would you consider fitting at best a 10year old tyre ?

Have a look at impartsb46 seller on eBay, if there's nothing there they can get parts.
