hallsta Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 evening all...... i will be replacing the standard turbo actuator ( worn out ) with a forge billet item any pitfalls i should be looking for car is 1994 wrx with the td05 turbo.
Jay762 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 just make sure it is adjusted the same as existing or else your boost profile will not be the same (eg wastegate opening too early etc)
hallsta Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 yeah i have visions of messing up the boost but i have patience, pliers and a 10mm spanner
savage bulldogs Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Yeah just go easy on the pre load on the adjustable arm . Start off at just tight enough the take up the slack , so you can't here a rattle from the wastegate when you "wiggle" the arm . As you'd be better off getting under boost on your first test run and nipping it up (trying again), than running a unmapped increase in boost and melting something [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
