Jay762
Bits starting to go back on car Fuel filler Before After Front subframe After Group N gear box mounts Awaiting a replacement bolt from Subaru hence wood blocks still in place. Rear Subframe Before After, fully polybushed, powder coated and painted Nuts sheared the stud on on petrol tank straps - Apparently you can no longer get these from Subaru as a replacement item so to stop the plastic panels and the rear diff heat shield flapping about I made a couple of brackets
Jay762
Prepping rear bearings replacing standard studs with longer ARP items

Jay762
I must confess - getting a little excited now 😁
Jay762
Right so whilst it is rework I had lost all faith in the Torque UK connectors after some would seal no problem and others would leak. Photos sent back and forth to them showing the tools I was using to assemble the joints and the joints themselves could not identify the issues. So vote of no confidence and it has all been replaced by Racing lines kit - All have been tested and are leak free - last thing I need is petrol that is supposed to be in the tank and lines sharing the inside of the car with me
savage bulldogs
Very tidy looking installation 😎 I've got a mixture of Grahame Goode and racingline fittings on my rails and the racingline fittings seem the better quality of the two imo
Jay762
Not a huge amount of progress... See project Daphne but parts arrived from Sweden so coilovers reassembled. Boots cut to correct length before assembly should avoid the rubbing against springs and tearing Ready to back on the motor....With correctly matched springs and front dust boots in place
savage bulldogs
I dare say now you have the correct springs and not the nascar ones , you'll get the most from those coilovers 😎
Jay762
Thats it NASCAR setup has been corrected looking forward to being able to turn both ways with equal stability 😁
Jay762
Dynamat in the boot to replace the lift Subaru plate Also did under the rear seat as could not only put half Dynamat and half Subaru stuff... Stripping it off - Yuk Lots of brake cleaner to prep After Progress - the boot is actually fully reassembled!! Axle nut 3 - Halfords Advance 0 Halfords replaced all the items no problem - Just to point out the extensions were not being used with the rattle gun, a bit of coaching from @savage bulldogs + some swearing and it was free. Now to see if the bearings will separate from the hubs so I can fit the longer studs. Parts for the fuel system and AOS have arrived - just need to confirm injector sizes, this will mean I can remove the Subaru damper setup completely and simplify plus ensure zero oil goes into the intake. Some initial planning about location completed but a little hard to gauge when your engine is missing
savage bulldogs
Your welcome Jay 👍 Those radium rails are a thing of beauty, bud 😊
Jay762
Front bearings off but not without a fight, GrpN replacements on the way then I can fit the longer ARP studs
Jay762
Group N bearings arrived - Ordered direct form Japan, not quite over night but saved some money. Will get the studs pressed and replaced with ARP items
Jay762
replacement turbo arrived - couple of comparison shots Standard on the left, SC46 on the right, Garrett in the middle
Jay762
Next up assembly of the twin injectors. Fuji Racing standard 550's as primaries, this should mean no lumpy idle or hesitation whilst driving at low revs. Injector Dynamics 1700's as the secondaries so on max chats we should be feeding with the flow capability of 2200's hmmm that isn't going to fit.... ahhhh so those red things are held on by the spring clip and can be removed (Thanks to Martyn @Enginetuner) Sad but I did like the look of the Radium finish with the four injectors visible 🙄
savage bulldogs
Lovin that 8 injector set up , nice collection of snails , too bud 😃
Jay762
Apparently, according to certain sites on the line, its not about the length more the girth. So reverse manifold setup - shorter tubing but larger diameter bore. 😁
savage bulldogs
Loving that reversed inlet😍 nice big plenum in the middle to keep the boost in during gear changes 😎
Jay762
Yes hoping its enough to keep the pots fed at 8500 - 8600 rpm - as in theory according to the gearbox ratios I should be doing 200mph
Jay762
Bolts arrived, ordered from US as main stealer price per bolt was just eye watering and could not find an alternative uk stockist. First package from Yperion Titanium - Russia also landed, totally justified as they have a screw which means they can be reused unlike OEM items 😁 was able to mount front bearings, stacks of molyslip to try and avoid the rust building between bearing and hub In place
Jay762
Small addition to rear subframe - Been reading a lot about the flex possible at higher loads so given everything else has been stiffened and upgraded I thought I would add some additional bracing, simple bolt on mod from Whiteline. The part number simple design - should work no issues Powder coated to match ARB and I had read some reports of whiteline stuff rusting quite quickly Installed
Jay762
A small update - Engineering work completed on the blocks and heads by AS Performance Heads, ported, polished, flow tested & 3 angle cut Blocks, resleeved and CDB conversion
Jay762
Got in behind the dash to tidy up wiring and make it easier to route the loom for the additional injectors Next ill get onto a peg board for the injector loom...
Jay762
A small item - The breather pipe connection was damaged so I replaced with an AN fitting which will connect securely to the AOS setup
