Hi All, joined up as I've been looking for a Scooby for a few months.  Aiming for a low mileage, close to stock, Blobeye blue STI Impreza.

Not wanting anything too modified as I spent my 20's in the Renault 5 GT turbo World modifying and then returning them to standard. 😅. I'll keep this one AS Subaru intended.

I should be going to see one on Thursday, the main thing to look for seems to be rust near the arches or under the car - so I'll be taking my overalls.

So I picked up a scooby today, I'd been watching the usual sites for months.

2004 Impreza WRX STI (Blobeye) type uk

With the prodrive perf pack

In blue with the gold wheels

48k mileage

Totally standard apart from a boost gauge and dump valve.

A lot of service stamps in the book, but I'll get one one done and the car looked over soon.

Hi mate and welcome first thing you should do is toss the dump valve in the bin and get the standard recirc one back on there your car will thank you

Heres one.  I'll need better weather for more.

Booked in at Subaru 4 You, in a week or so for a checkup.  I have a small list of niggles that I'll get cracking through (squeaky seat belts, missing mudflaps etc).

Welcome and nice motor. Yes I agree remove the dump valve it offers no purpose until you get into serious power. Do you have PPP cert out of interest?

Yes. Have the PPP cert.

One question.  Are these red things the radiator fans, I see quite a few cars with them.  Wondering where to look for them and if they're any good.

Do they work? It is a common thing to add these to Scoobies not that cheap either if they are Hellas and not clones.
