February 1, 20206 yr Hi all I am a little confused about my engine light. It comes on for a few days and then for some reason it goes off? There doesn't seam to be any change to the car or the way it drives. Any help would be welcomed Sarah
February 1, 20206 yr Its probably a intermittent fault but the ECU will probably have stored the code . What model / year is it ? As most pre 2000 cars have a self ECU code check function
February 1, 20206 yr You could always try a reset by disconnecting battery for a bit. Then the ecu will re learn and maybe the code will stop. It may run funny for a few miles while it learns. If 2005 get a cheap code reader and find the code.
