Hi, had this “problem” for 5 years in my well loved ‘06 non turbo Forester. It’s got the Engine Warning Light on the dash but had a mate who used to get it through its MOT !! He’s retired now and I need this sorted. I can’t spend loads of money doing the fix correctly but need those !Removed! codes removed permanently.

Who can I go to ( or what can I buy) to fix this problem .

In Isolation

John

Welcome, not too up to date with the newer scoobs but i'm sure most folks get the pump mapped out which will cost a couple of hundred squid but the codes will never come back however you'll obviously have to wait until you are out of isolation or they lift restrictions so that companies can get going again and get some one to take it for you, alternatively you could buy a cheap code reader off eBay and clear the code yourself just before the mot as i suspect thats what your mate was doing to get it through.

Stay safe 👍

Yes, I have a code reader. Need a permanent fix, somebody in the Midlands. I shall find somebody when the Lockdown is relaxed 🤞

Go to TDRacing. They will can map it out for you. I had this issue on my car and they resolved it for either £75 or £90, I can't remember which it was. It doesn't take long and they are really helpful.

Thanks for info but they can only remap the turbo models. He says you can’t clear the non-turbos, the actual fault needs fixing. Not a problem, I keep cars until they die........ just need to find an understanding garage when MOT is due 🤔

Thanks for the help.

Ahhh okay, I guess that makes sense. The only other suggestion then would be to get a second hand part off of eBay to replace the faulty one?
