we found the head of a toyota celica had a kawasaki stamp on it when we took the rocker cover off -

 

the good point is when it comes to sourcing spares you may not need to just look at subaru's if a part becomes defective and you know they are interchangeable between models and given the BRZ joint venture with Toyota I shouldnt have been too surprised really

dont Toyota own a big stake (16.7%) in Fuji heavy industries?

That I dont know but it wouldnt surprise me

Toyota have loads to do with all Jap car's I thought I know Lexus is Toyota and now they own Subaru. So would say they have been working along side with Subaru before anything was made public by the looks of it. And good point Jay :)

Interesting that's it's a Toyota switch as the one in my Legacy says Nissan on the back!
