tom_gr7 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 hi guys, i'm tempted to get some leather seats for my legacy. Anyone got leather seats? i've never had a car with leather seats so i'm interested to know what people think of them. Also, anyone know if leather seats from a mk4 legacy estate will fit in a mk4 legacy saloon? thanks in advance
Gambit Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I liked mine but when it's a hot day and the suns been sat on them you just about have to peel yourself off them if you have shorts on.
tom_gr7 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 thanks for the replies chaps, worth spending 200 quid on a second hand set?
Jay762 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 obviously dependant on condition that sounds ok - check the padding isnt completely shot if you can - its not a deal breaker as you could get it all redone and have it like new - it also gives you room for haggling 1
tom_gr7 Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 thanks chaps, will try and get a look at them before I buy. Another job on the to do list. :)
majik_thighs Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 thanks for the replies chaps, worth spending 200 quid on a second hand set? Very good price that!!
JusNoGood Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Just to add some balance ;) I don't like leather seats...cold in winter, hot in summer (damp groin, nice) and makes my suit trousers shiny. Big no for me.
Tlag Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 The front seats should swap over very easily but fitting estate ones into a saloon maybe a problem, certainly for the backrest. 1

Cheers for the reply tlag, ive only just seen it. When you say it might be a problem, do you think it wont be possible?
Th4neuk Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I like mine. They are comfy and supportive. Ok in the summer they can get warm but the aircon brings it back down. The cream is maybe harder to clean than the black but it does stay a bit cooler. If you get the heated ones doesn't matter in the cold lol. Cheers Alan
majik_thighs Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The cream leather looks brilliant with the black paintwork!....WD 40 usually removes most marks.

Tlag Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Nothing is impossible but you may have to get creative with the way it fits in. It definitely won't go straight in. 1
