james26 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Looking to see the difference between lowering a forester with wrx impreza shocks & springs & lowering with wrx wagon shocks and springs.... I'm really stuck on which one to do. Cheers :)
stants Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f75/lowering-springs-76351/ Good thread here 1
Rick 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Im pretty sure I don't have self levelling suspension.I will double check tomorrow. If so wrx will be going on lol
Rick 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I was looking at these on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-GC8-1993-2001-Adj-Coilovers-Shock-Absorber-Struts-RPF-/141190881119?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru%7CCars+Type%3A2.0+Turbo+GT+4WD&hash=item20dfa1df5f
Mr B Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 spring rate on that coilover kit is ridiculous for uk roads.
Rick 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 spring rate on that coilover kit is ridiculous for uk roads. Do you mean on terms of how low it goes?
Mr B Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 No spring rates, 10kg/mm front 6kg/mm rear, awful on the road, actually almost dangerous due to reduced grip & risk of being bounced of track on usual ruts etc on b-roads. They wouldn't last 12 months before MOT failure but you probably crash before that. Far better off going WRX if you lower it. Also to check SLS status don't rely on canister or colour as later range of Tokico SLS are black & without canister, get the part number which is stamped on the strut & run it in Google or Subaru parts database. 1
savage bulldogs Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Don't know much about this topic tbo [emoji5] But have you looked into saggy butt spacers (que gambit lol) http://www.paranoidfabrications.com/shop/category/subaru-impreza/saggy-butt-spacers/ Apparently they stop the extra weight of the foz making the rear end sit lower when using the wrx set up 1
