scottishtaffy
had a REALLY close call the day to detonating my engine. went to work this morning and thought i would take the scoob. gorgeous day sunny and dry so gave it some welly on the way into aberdeen. disposing of slower cars with ease. got to work and car ticking over on timer and i hear a hell of a rattle knocking from under the bonnet., first thought was big ends by the sound of it. popped bonnet and there is the crank shaft pulley wobbling all over the place . car stops by now and when i grab it the bolt is only about 4 turns from coming out!!!!. went a bit weak at the knees at what could have happened and tightened it back up. 2 yrs of running and thats the first time thats happened.. cold sweat over now tho :)

scottishtaffy
thats what happened to a lad on our west coast scooby cruise. only his did go on fire when he blew no 3 conrod thru the top of the block and it spat all the oil straight onto the turbo. terminal does not cover the aftermath

Gambit
Not sure about 2 years ago mine was sent away full rebuild remap and some extras was £2,900 at Scoobyworld that was using the best parts at the time for my car
Jay762
RA have a good site layout which shows you the individual costs for Cosworth components and they have some kit prices as well which could be an option http://www.ra-motorsport.co.uk/Product/Category/DB20100917115549
Gambit
Can soon get a nice shopping list on there :D
mariocinq
how much of a gain is a stroker kit???? would i need it if i am aiming for 350bhp???
Jay762
the bigger cubes should give more torque, you should be able to get 350bhp from a standard bore and stroke (with uprated components) but running a larger capacity allows for more mixture within the chambers so you should be able to run a lower boost to get the same bang as smaller capacity unit which would have to run higher levels
mariocinq
going to continue this over in my thread i think lol.
