  1. No worries mucker, I'll try and get it done as early as possible in the morning and let you know asap, not sure if you'll be checking every 5 mins but it's a safe bet you'll have a reply for 12pm, dinner time, last post from the post office is 5.30 but courier can be anytime as it's round the corner from me and they will load it for delivery on the overnight truck
  2. Always a good excuse for coil overs, I'm getting mine lined up ready for when funds get better lol
  3. If you do knock the Nissan seats on the head and want to get some impreza seats, the classics have firmer seat bolsters than later types but later seats have better patterns, you could get sti seats and dye the red bits white
  4. I'm in the same boat mate, broke my back about 12 years ago and also have a prolapsed disc, I'm on so many tablets I rattle when I walk and can do most things in a day like a full detail, engine rebuild, engine swap, I have to take double meds while doing it and I'llbe bed ridden for at least 2 days after but it gets me to do what I love
  5. Has anybody suggested contacting the ombudsman for all this?
  6. You do seem to have a very strong case if it's in writing, contact another dealership (subaru) and tell them you have had this difficult fitted by a back street garage and now it's gone wrong they are saying they replaced like for like, as a dealership can they confirm that this is indeed the wrong part so you can prove it was their fault, it's highly unlikely a garage near you will be taking to a garage at the other end of the country, failing that contact subaru in Japan, if all this is done by email they can tell you to find a local dealers There is also cotcomp over this way that are a genuine parts dealers for subaru bits as well as working on them and mapping them and stuff so they will likely know the ins and outs of what's what, fire them a mail or call them and see if they would be willing to put something in writing
  7. Will do bud, I got ya pm and will let you know prices as soon as I get em, I think couriers gonna be best but we'll see, I'll get it all boxed and shizzle tomorrow, as for beer, it's a kind offer but it'll have to be coke for me mate, I'm not a drinker I'm afraid, we will meet up one day, somehow someway lol
  8. I wouldn't do it with a fast car, just slow and low
  9. Yeh going off work I've seen on vag forums I'd recommend them too, I've never heard anyone complain, and unlike a normal back street garage or main dealers they will set the suspension up properlynot loo low not too high, not bumpy as hehe'll and stiff but not wallowy either, companies like that are few and far between, I used one with my first car in Manchester, when they moved onto more high end stuff like lambo's and ferrari's I stopped using them and have only used garages for my mot, everything else I've done myself
  10. I'vehad ccoil overs an a fair few cars now and as you have seen by some of the pics of my cars 3mph over a 5p piece is too fast lol
  11. That'snot actually my dog but is a good mates dog, he sent me tthat after she picked her ball up that has a rope attached for throwing and as she threw her head back it looked like that so he snapped a pic and sent it, needless to say it's comical enough for me to keep And erotic to boot
  12. Not sure you can remove the subframes off the subie seats and have no idea what soever bout the others sorry, you might have to fabricate something, see if there's part of the subie frame you can cut of and same with the others and swap em over via a welder
  13. Ahhh Yeh I know where you are, kinda, you mean TRD (Turner Race Developments) They are legends with some awesome cars to their name, that polo was epic, there was a bit of banter about it after it was at ultimate dubs, some were saying it was crap at 25 miles on a charge, others said a g whizz might do 70 miles on a charge but the smile factor in the polo would easily out weigh it, I know what I'd rather have
  14. I wouldn't say take off but as long as it's not above 20 you should be fine, tbh there's more risk of banging your head on the roof, if you go on too hard then you will likely hit the sump before the suspension has time to lift the car out of danger, it's all physics or some **** lol
  15. Nice, good price too
  16. When bleeding brakes, if your not using a pressurised system and your, or someone you, are pumping the pedal you should NEVER press all the way to the floor, inside the servo there's a plunger, even under harsh braking the plunger will never travel all the way, over whatever miles that cars done, small amounts of crap build up just after the furthest travel of the plunger, when there'sno pressure in the system due to it being bled, by pushing to the floor you are in effect taking that plunger through the crud, this can sometimes cause the plunger, or even the seal if you push it far enough, to corrode or split causing a loss in pressure when applying the brakes, that will mean a new servo will need fitting That's something a mechanic of 35 years taught me and it's always stuck, I try and use a pressurised system where possible, the master cylinder cap on a subie is not a screw down cap, if you get a pressurised bleeding system like the eazi bleed system there's nothing for you to keep the cap on the master cylinderunder pressure, the more expensive kits come with a chain to fasten round, if you get the cheap one just use a long or a couple of shorter cable ties to keep the cap on, thick good quality ties are best, even better are reusable ones tthat have a little tab on to release
  17. The only decent refurb place I know is near blackpool, cheap and a fantastic job too
  18. I'm hedging towards mug on the ex thing but nice guy and genuinely good son for the mum thing This is my ex, I left her like this when I left too, not sure if she's got out of it but I've not heard from her in a while
  19. I'vealways said iI'd tint my rear windows on all my cars but I've never done it as every car I've seen other than a subie just doesn't look right, I think subie with the rears tinted look like an sti import, and black on white is just sexy, I wanna paint mine white now
  20. Right, Iwent out to remove the pulley ffrom the crank and had a lovely neighbourly dispute about land, so while I was arguing I fired up the compressor and took the pulley off, I then wrapped it with the bolt and woodruff key for you, I have just seen this post and thought bugger, could've boxed em all lol, I don't know if the cam pulleys will be any good as 1 they are from an 8v so not as many and 2 not sure if they will be the right size, I'm more than happy to send what I have to you if you want to try them against yours As for the bolt, it doesn't look like a stretch bolt so should be fine to re use, the engine these parts came off was a non turbo with 90k on the clock so not so much power going through and minimal milage so should be next to new condition wise Let me know what you want me to do, I have boxes coming out of my ears and all the time in the world to sort it as I don't work and have only 1 car to detail this weekend so it's no bother to re box it all up for you, the crank pulley, bolt and woodruff key weigh roughly 3kgs, I'd say 4 as not sure how accurate my scales are and I think 7.5 and less is all the same price dependant on size of the package, I've sent 40kg parcels for £15 in the past with the courier I use so it won't be astronomically expensive, the other wheels are quite light in comparison to what's boxed already
  21. I can put the bolt in too if that helps bud? Doesn't hurt to have a spare
  22. I did that once back in my youth, back then coppers would give you a slap to teach you a lesson, there was 8 of us walking across the estate where I lived then, it was a rough estate too, still is, we saw this copper stop in the middle of the road and watching us, we all decided we were gonna leg it, as soon as we got round the corner we just acted normal, what we didn't realise is he was a dog patrol, the dog come barrelling round the corner off the lead, luckily it didn't know who to attack so just kept barking at all of us and kinda running back and forth, this copper come round and gave us a bollocking saying it was lucky he had the dog or he'd of twatted us all, we just laughed at him, we got a bollocking and checked on the pnc but nowt else, was funny as though
  23. 0.9 bar or 13psi, both equate to the same thing
  24. It's from signing up to it for free on their site, just some people don't like to do that for fear of getting spam, not that Opie/Tim does that but some people just don't like to chance it
  25. Well I like to stay trim so I keep fit at the same time as get ma jollies
