  2. what gave you the impression we KNOW about cars? we are just guessing and hoping for the best lol
  3. just make sure you degrease the new discs and give the pads about 200 miles of normal driving before you start heavy braking, just gives them time to bed in, also be aware that EBC pads need to be warm to get the full effect
  4. wishful thinking Gambit
  5. that's the case with most things, i worked at a bakery in my younger days, i was at the start of the line in the mixers but at the end of the line we had stuff coming off the line being for cadburys as well as tesco's own brand and iceland to name a few, all the same product, only difference was the cadbury's used to get a flake mounted on the top, a few boxes of flakes used to dissapear every week, !Removed! mice lol
  6. very well done indeed pal, looks really good, are you lacquering it or keeping it matte or polishing it shiney?
  7. I've had it on a few forums and had some people chasing it thinking it was on the screen lol
  8. You should change your user name to wdbloody40 lol
  9. Just in reverse? Where is the noise from roughly, front, middle or back? Have the brakes bedded in? How many miles have you done since they were fitted? When was the rear different last serviced?
  10. You don't "need" to map it in if it's just for the sake of the sensor, all they do it remove the sensor reading from the program, it's cheaper to just buy a sensor spacer, if you having it mapped to benefit from the power, again not essential, you will see power gains just by fitting the exhaust, if it's been mapped already you'll gain a couple of ponies at best from the map, if it's not yet been mapped and you were wanting it mapped anyway then by all means go for it
  11. One shock wouldn't be that bad but a couple will make it bouncy, the only check on mot time is visual, if they are oil filled then they leak when shot so visible if duff, but if gas filled they wouldn't show unless badly corroded, if yours are gas filled there's a chance they are screwed, try pushing on each corner a few times, if it's ok then when you stop pushing it should come up and settle, if pooped it will go up and down at least once usually twice as it's just the spring supporting it
  12. I've signed up, I can post the offers each day if anyone's interested, otherwise can keep it to myself if preferred
  13. Yeh I got mine with a dodgy maf, sometimes it would run sweet others it would hunt and even stall
  14. I'd check the thermostat first, take it out and put in a pan of cold water then bring to the boil and if it's ok you will see it open
  15. Welcome aboard fella, hope you enjoy the site and as said, get some piccies posted ;-)
  16. You must have some good karma on your side lol
  17. By factory fitted I'm assuming it's the sigma m30? Is there a keypad somewhere in the car? Usually in the coin tray or glove boxif so tgthen it is the sigma m30,here is the site for the codes you can enter into it http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Knowledge/SigmaM30AlarmHiddenFeatures Hope that helps bud
  18. The boxer diesel is a complete alien to me I'm afraid, maybe others have some insights on it, but welcome aboard, I hope you enjoy your stay, have a look around and get to know a few of us, it's a good bunch on here
  19. I never thoughtabout the bluetooth readers, good call, the software for said reader is called torque, I believe that's the best one to get
  20. I'd probably ignore that then lol, could still benefit from spacing just incase it's a sports cat or no cat or broken cat
  21. Could be a cheap sensor, the universal ones are only a few quid off eBay, genuine ones are near a ton, cheap ones are known to not last long
  22. Jammy bugger
  23. looking good so far bud, nice job
  24. Mines had a De cat and pops and bangs all the time, they tend not to do it straight away as the exhaust needs to coke up a bit so could just be now it's coked up its popping, or could be the lambda is throwing too much fuel in as it's not reading the sensor correctly, don't get a cheap lambda as you will get what you pay for, I would firstly buy a lambda spacer and fit that, if that doesn't cure it then try the maf/lambda/both Each time you try something make sure you disconnect the battery for an hour for the ecu to clear the fault
