  1. vw's used to rally back in the day of Alister McRae in his yellow mk3 golf, they disappeared for years from the rallying scene, now they are back, might be a similar thing with the Subaru, we can but hope
  2. ebay usa too or any left hooker country, would it not be cheaper and easier to use beam benders?
  3. we will have to get something sorted for shows like this one year, get a forum kitty put together like a paypal account for the club, if everyone could donate a little something when they can, even a quid every couple of months is better than nothing, obviously donations are a voluntary thing, then get stuff like forum banners and flags for the shows and we can start getting together as a club at the events all over the uk as and when they pop up
  4. welcome aboard, sit back relax and enjoy the fun, best of luck in the search and pics please when you get one sorted Willkommen an Bord, lehnen Sie sich zurück und genießen Sie den Spaß, bitte viel Glück bei der Suche und Fotos erhalten Sie bei einer sortierten
  5. i'd have one of them, trouble is it won't look like that if it's ever released
  6. are you sure the fogging is inside, a lot of lenses can go funky on the outside, ford focus ones and hyundai coupe ones get really bad, if it's the outside then you can wet and dry with some 2000 grit paper, wet not dry, then as you are a detailer you will get a great finish with a machine polisher and some megs 105 then megs 205 and the correct pads for the compounds you can heat them up in the oven to soften the glue then split, clean and reseal preheat to 250 and go in 5 min increments. too little is no problem, too long and you'll end up with a melted lens and you'll have to buy a new light. put it on something, baking try ar similar, just go slow when you're opening it and don't use any jerking motions, it's very easy to crack the lens/housing/clips especially when they're warm. when resealing them i found either tiger seal or Loctite 5699 premium grey silicone, the Loctite stuff is superb for most jobs and i haven't yet found anything that comes close to doing the same job make sure you wear oven mitts when handling the hot lights, sounds obvious but it's amazing how many people forget also the classic impreza lights have some serious glue on them, if the bugeyes are the same you may get away with using the original sealant.
  7. welcome aboard, sit back relax and enjoy, and best of luck in the hunt for the car you want
  8. yeh i'd go round different testers to see if they will pass it without if tht's the issue, or borrow one from someone for the mot
  9. when's your hols due? just dawned on me that you are sat in my living room as i typed that
  10. yeh, me and dogma are just discussing this now, i've had a few VW's that have various parts in the car coded into the immobiliser system, if the radio has been used from another forester then this could be the issue, the car will still work as normal but the part that doesn't belong in that loop won't work as it could be stolen so the car has rendered it immobile, some dealers will code it in for you some won't, could be the issue you have, not sure if subie's have the same setup but it's a possibility, it's on VW's after 2001
  11. welcome to the forum, sit back relax and enjoy, nice looking bus too
  12. fully synthetic is best, in the warmer months 10/60 is fine, in colder weather 5/40 is best, if you service every 6 months then just alternate the 2 oils through the year, semi synthetic is ok but i would try and get fully in as often as possible
  13. welcome aboard, nice looking motor, love the colour, now sit back relax and enjoy the forum.
  14. them brakes look beautiful, almost a shame to have to get them dirty then again, i like dirty
  15. welcome aboard, sit back relax and enjoy the forum ;)
  16. Welcome aboard, if it's asking for a code you can usually get it from a main dealer, you just need your ID and log book, there's usually a small charge but cheaper than a new unit
  17. Yeh that's the longer ones, I only have a set of the short ones I'm afraid
  18. is that still the long ones?
  19. i did think that as i was typing has that made no difference?
  20. and for the record, that pic in the magazine looks like my kids have taken it with a smartphone, the sig pic looks like a pro pic
  21. i like the wheels, and to be fair, you can't get much further away from the crowd with a yellow scoob
  22. welcome aboard, sit back relax and enjoy
