  1. Cheers man ill have a look, yeah its on the bottom but its causing the top end to not sit on properly had a cel because of it said something about the maf cant remember exact code cause i just moved it about the reset

  2. Dont quote me but i think if it was piston rings you would be getting loads of blowby so oil coming out the exhaust but im not sure. Im at 106k mate so not much difference.  My fuel pump was already swapped out for 255lph one by one of the previous owners so i didnt have to. No too hard but you can access from under the boot carpet. I think some people say its under the rear seats but i took my bugeyes rear seats out for a fuel leak and it wasnt there def in the boot on a bugeye anyway.

  3. I didnt see any oil on my filter to be honest man. I had oil consumption issue and oily pcv hoses thats why I changed it. Had no evidence of it being changed previously either. Its cool mate unfortunately its not an sti 😞 the guy before me obviously wanted it to look like one though 😂🤣

  4. The valve was like £10 mate from import car parts, think its in the same place as the sti but ive not seen an sti engine up close so not sure but as i said before. It was fairly simple mate just getting the hose off the pcv valve was a bit frustrating. Had no issues getting the intercooler off mate bit annoying getting it back on wouldnt call it hard but.

  5. Yeah mate ive just changed mine a few weeks back its under the throttle body, take intercooler off move bypass valve hose out the way Then theres a thinner coolant hose right above pcv valve pop that off and its there.

Bit off topic but anyone know what these new road tax rules are gonna mean for us lot?

Just looked into it there mate hard to tell until they “accurately” test our cars but it looks like it might go up a band like the 2.5’s so like £550 or summit 😡😩

Nice one Rossco I'll look into that, as long as they're half decent👍 I'll probably hang on a bit before I swap em seem to be working fine at the moment took it for a spin today bedded in ok. So I take it I'd be just as well changing the brake fluid aswell eh?

Yeah mate they work fine plus you get better discs and pads aswell

  8. Depends mate if your brake fluid needs changed then go for it. Aw mate its a nightmare mines was sticking on the motorway really bad i think the sheer heat seized it in place. Maybe if you know someone with an impact driver that might get it off or try a wee smash mallet

  9. Yeah its probably sticking its extremely common on the newage impreza for the fronts to stick if one of the piston boots rips and dirt gets in happened to me on my last wrx. Id check out god speed mate you can get new calipers discs and pads in a pack for about £300. They are copy calipers but work perfectly. Not to hard a job man basically 2 bolts hold the calipers on then swap line over to new caliper. Just need to watch the caliper nounting bolts havent seized on can be a nightmare to get it off

  10. Has the timing belt been done recently I had same symptoms on my old wrx and it was due to a mechanic not doing my timing belt change right. Had another guy redo the timing and all was fine.
