  1. Cheers man I hope so [emoji51] .. Yes I'm the same do love shiny new parts. The headers will be wrapped after install with RCM magma heat wrap.. Which is apparently made from volcanic rock .. So unfortunately they won't be visible but the heat soak from the headers is quite an issue when going after market headers Haha yes my sig wondered how long till someone mentioned it [emoji23] just couldn't help myself haha Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  2. Maybe a lil of topic on here , but the Porsche pack came out other day [emoji1362] Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

  13. Apparently the turbo cracking is another common fault on these Scoobys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So anyway time for another instalment Unfortunately for me when the engine was out and the turbo was inspected it had a crack forming by the waste gate ffs so any budget I did have was at this point is out the window [emoji30] So after another convo with Alan I came to the conclusion that although the turbo could go back on and probably work fine I was planning on getting a down pipe and a tune at the same time and would be pointless bolting a damaged turbo back on .. So we decided on a new spec of A Enginetuner gtx2871 hybrid Deatschwerks 750 injectors RCM headers RCM decat down pipe Perrin intake hose Cosworth panel filter In the plan to reach 400+ bhp on a oe looking set up [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. It all depends on spec I know for a full 2.5 build because they do upgrade the oil pick up and a few other things that are not on the sheet the standard rate to start with the spec above was over 5k looking at just over 6 if you want a closed Dec insert Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. When the engine failed I was on 64k Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The mishimoto one is two billet cans with built in filters. Check out there uk site all there stuff comes with a lifetime warranty too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. So I decided to get Alan Jeffries "engine tuner" to undertake the work . when the car was picked up One of the other nice things Alan could provide a courtesy car for when the work was being done A classic shape 2ltr sport surprisingly pleasant car to drive, but defiantly dated on the inside So over the next few weeks the engine was removed and stripped down Engine out So the strip down begins and just like suspected a broken ringland .. Which we believe was the reason for the matches like smell Also the bearings were badly worn and the bore was quite badly scratched, so looks like it was well over due a build Luckily the crank was ok Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Brilliant .. My Impreza is the fastest s class Impreza round most tracks ;) ... Really lol I will have to look on the top gear track tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. So here it is part 2 So after noticing my coolant started disappearing I kept an eye on it for a couple of weeks I didn't think it was the head gasket as no smoke ,and no oil water mix going on, so just kept topping it up every couple of weeks was all fine no over heating issues .. But my friend said that my car smelt like matches when he was behind me and he's a qualified technician and we both couldn't figure out what the smell was.. Until one day I was driving and it seamed to just loose all boost the car would pic up fine and then have nothing around 3k .. Not good so now knowing the problems with the ej257 motor. I was prepared for the worst I began ringing a few guys about taking on the build and a few guys I rang ( very reputable company's within the scene ) either didn't seam interested or couldn't start for along time they just didn't seam interested one guy (not naming names) but it was so difficult getting anything out of him it was a joke he seamed almost a burden for him to be on the phone to me lol .. So after some good covos with some good guys I finally decided to get Alan Jeffries "engine tuner" to undertake the work and we began discussing specs and we finally agreed on a spec which was ; Mahle forged pistons K1 H beam rods ACL Race bearings Balanced assembly Fully overhauled cylinder heads including guides Genuine Subaru seals and gaskets RCM stopper head gaskets RCM head stud kit RCM uprated oil pump RCM timing belt kit RCM water pump EGR and air pump delete Engine parts painted and all external bolts and brackets plated Engine bay washed The first 50 miles of running in, followed by full check over and first oil and filter change To be continued [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. it says.... Product Information ONLY for Liberal rear diffuser (004-046-005 or 004-046-006) equip model. Nissan OEM rear foglight with Liberal LED valve. Switch is NOT included (NOT for sale). did you buy that as well? importing from japanparts, you have import duty/vat and parcel force handling charge to pay on to. if you go onto HMRC website and search COMMODITY codes, you can then find out the import duty % rate you'll pay fo rth goods you import. Make sure you ahve the correct commodity code on the packaging so you get charged correctly and not someone guessing a % rate that could be wring and too high. My rear R205 defuser worked out at 3.5% but 20% vat gets added etc as well :( Also I just bought from Japan parts and parcel force added a £13 handling charge too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
