  6. So me and my mate fitted this on Saturday was going to wait to get the gold reflective tape for it but just could wait any more Was abit more tricky that they make out and was a lack of instructions but didn't really need them thankfully the prob I have was the vacuum pipe for the breaks is actoualy attached to the cooler and didn't know if I could disconnect it or not lol but all sorted I the end Will get some better pics soon Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  7. Cheers man yer looks good tight but do able, sounds good I'm an electrican so I'm always getting my hand in tight places and twisting bits of wire defo next on my list :)
  8. I've heard mixed reviews of tien Spring sagging after a few months and just not realy being that good. Maybe look for an alternative brand
  9. I wouldn't go much deeper than say et 40 ish on a 8.5 or wider tyre unless you wana have arch work done. I know some people do run et35 but you will get some poke can be hard to set up properly Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  10. Hi guys I now have a tmic for a 330s sti for sale it's recently been refurbished and painted only a light but of dirt. Which will easy come off. The intercooler will come with a basically brand new black samco silicone coupler to the throttle body and also all gaskets you new, although used still only basically new. Does not include the y pipe. This kit is ideal for anyone with a classic or pre 05 sti or wrx the coolers on the 08 are much better and more efficient as you can see dynos at 392 hp More pics to follow when I take it off today . I'm looking for £120 plus pay pall and postage fees or make me an offer Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  11. Nice looking motor. good to see more hatches on here. Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  12. So this arrived today :) Looks really well made can't wait to get it fitted Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  13. Does it boost at all or does it just feel sluggish all the time ?? Are all your fluids fine?? Not saying it's this but When I had a broken ring land my car picked up fine till about 3000rpm then just felt like it had a massive flat spot , also it did seem to drive fine occasionally. but not every time it was weird Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  14. Black Top mount with black hoses, for time being. should be more than enough for the level of tune I'm at, Martyn j said he's tuned and sti hatch to a safe 470ish hp using a grim speed tmic, and according to their website the mishimoto should be a better core ;) a lot of guys in the states don't use a front mount till 500+hp or 30+ psi so if I ever go that high I can always sell this on .. I will have an oe 2008 sti intercooler for sale soon if anyone's interested dyno proven to 390hp ;) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  15. Haha literally just after hitting send I got a text .. Nice little touch never had one of these texts before Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  16. Well I bought direct from the mishimoto uk website and then spoke to them on the phone because I had my delivery and billing address the wrong way round .. Very helpful nice sounding chap on the phone and he said my order would be with me tomorrow :) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  17. Awesome.. [emoji51].. Just ordered my intercooler today but just a heads up to anyone looking to order of the mishimoto website none of the prices on the site included vat [emoji30] and it didn't add the vat till I had actually bought the cooler [emoji85] a bit miss leading luckily I had the extra in my account.. But because of the extra I couldn't get the gold reflective heat tape I will have to get that next week . But I did get a free %5 off voucher which was nice :) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  18. This is true no photo it didn't happen
  19. Yes just been looking at the Perrin one on the sc website seems reasonable. just wondering did you install yours with the turbo in place or did you have the turbo off when you installed it? as it looks quite fiddly. because by looks of it it's secured by wire tied round the up pipe and I've got big hands so could be awkward. Any tips ? Took the car for a decent drive last couple days and can honestly say it's addictive the low down grunt is awesome really feels a different car, it's brutal had the tyres chirp into 4th in the dry using flat shift with the new cc stage two clutch bites great but drives like oe, maybe slightly more heavy than stock but no more than the clutch is in my 350z , even in low boost car feels totally different to the oe map feels much more progressive instead of the old map that was all in about 4K then runs out of puff , Also be ordering my new top mount tomorrow [emoji51] can't wait to be member of the 400hp club, but also think I'm going to need a new recirculating/ dump valve because apparently the stock one only rated to 20psi and I'm running about 22on high boost so could really do with upgrading.
  20. Yours maybe didn't have high spots then, but my opinion is if it doesn't have high spots it's not needed so not necessary. This is just what Alan j said too me because I enquired about getting mine skimmed when fitting the stage two clutch and that was his response Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  21. I here the flywheel on Scoobys can't be skimmed the tool won't touch it so if it gets high spots it's a throw away and replace job unfortunately Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  22. Any sign of that piece of titanium Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  23. Yes I have been looking into them but I'm still running the oe heat shield ATM although slightly modified for the larger turbo I'm unsure if one would fit under the heat shield. I need to take the cooler of and have a look really I was thinking maybe get a turbo jacket then retain the oe heat shield but gold tape the inside then maybe paint the outside of it black with heatproof paint .. because I've heard that aftermarket heatshields are an !Removed! to fit and secure . Does anyone know of a site that sells turbo blankets ? Any help would be much appreciated :) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  24. Hey soz man for some reason my notifications don't seem to be working properly I think I'm going to go black with the cooler just abit different and the missimoto products are the right price and they have a uk store so no worrie about importing and the do seem to put a lot of r and d into their products so I have faith that it will be a quality product. I think I did read the same test with silver and black radiators and I think they found that the black core actually displaced the heat more efficiently than the silver . Ideally I hear what your saying about the heat soak but I just can't justify paying an extra £1k + for somthing that's not going to give me extra gains the extra surface area should dissipate the heat better than stock anyway so heat will be reduced. I'm going to get so of the reflective gold tape and wrap the edges of the cooler in it . Try and maximise it's efficiency I know Martyn sayed he had done a hatch which had a grim speed topmount and that achieved a safe 470hp and with the missimoto supposedly being a better core, it's defo bigger I should see some good gains ( fingers crossed ) I know in the states uprated top mounts are more popular on standard fitment turbos I've even seen a few running top mounts on rotated kits. So with regards to the intake being ineffective at high speed I assume you mean the bonnet scoop? which I too have head at high speed can be ineffective and the air just flows over but I believe the is over 100mph so as a road car not really an issue, like I've said ideally a Perrin front mount would be my top choice but just don't have the cash unfortunately and in the real world I just can't justice the extra £1k + for very little or no gain over the top mount and the £ I will save I could spend on suspension mods :) .. I'm not actually sure of the processes they use to clean the engine didn't ask lol but he did say they do all in house and I'm sure it's been painted too, to make it look that bit better, although I maybe wrong that's something you would have to ask mr Jeffries about Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks man I'm a bit bummed that I couldn't make 400 so I'm going to get a new top mount on Tuesday after weeks of research I've decided to go for the mishimoto because it has a great spec but can't decide which one either black or silver I think black would look quite cool and kinda disappear although silver will look oe :/ also the car is midnight blue and I'm concerned the when it's sunny out that it will get heat soaked by the sun being black and that the cars almost black I'm really unsure Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
