Exact model ??
+1 for 555's being darker blue and having a plaque/boot sticker . Don't think I've seen a 2door 555 all the 555's I've seen have been saloons (might have seen a wagon with the graphics but unsure if it was a true 555). I think most type r's had dccd . V3 sti type r's are a lovely motor anyways and in most people's eyes it will be a bit special ...... Ahmm pics pls [emoji4] Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

a few pics of my project so far
Thanks fellas I only needed 6 mm spacers so my speedline chronos cleared the 4 pots , so I just bought some ally multi fitment spacers from my local motor maina . As for breaking the sti it should be the end of next month (busy work shedule pending ) so once we set a definite date I'll get some pics n prices up . but matt don't worry I haven't forgotten your dibs on the coilovers ;-)

Sorry to hear that matt at least you can cross faulty turbo off the list as that one was of my own car . what ecu has it got in it ? Have you got any ecu codes ?(if it's a subaru ecu) Have you checked the wiring to the o2 and map sensor , dump valves not leaking ? Have you tried running "actuated boost" which is to just run a vacuum pipe from the actuator to turbo inlet (should give you 0.5 bar) . hope you get it sorted fella

bugeye will not start after upgrades HELP
Sorry I don't know anything about the tgv set up as I've only owned classics . The injector upgrade will mean that the fueling will need rescaling and therefore run rough , but I think it should still start .As I changed from 380cc to 550cc and it still started and idled (lumpy) but , drove off boost like a pig untill the mapper tweeked it . I ran my rebuild in with the original injectors and fitted the bigger ones the day before the remap , do you know if the pinks are in good working order ? If not maybe try re fitting the blues as the original map is set for those . Tlags covered everything else that springs to mind , but if I think of something else I'll let you know . Best of luck and keep us updated fella Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

brake upgrade advice
Cheapest way would be to Have a look for newage wrx front 4 pots and rear 2 pots with discs second hand. then you'll just need new pads all round and the rear conversion brackets [emoji6] Your my97 uk turbo will have a 160 rear diff / hub set up if you want to check compatibility . Alyn @ A.S performance sells the conversion brackets and numerous types of pads , but you'd be better off phoning him cos his website Doesn't list everything he sells . Nice to meet you today matt , have you got that turbo fitted yet [emoji6] Might be worth unplugging the crank sensor (so it doesn't start straight away) To get the oil around the engine and turbo before initial start up All the best clive Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Straight swop on the fronts with newage /late classic sti front 4 pots and 4 pot bigger discs The rear handbrake shoes only fit the same type diff ie Classic 160 rear diff/hub set up suits newage wrx 160 rear hubs/handbrake set up Classic 180 rear hubs (from late sti /type r) fit newage 180 sti rear hubs /handbrake set up Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Coolant types and coolant additives for a classic turbo
There's a tenner off code on a thread somewhere on here if you spend over £50 [emoji6] I normally buy a few mahle oil filters and maybe some cleaning products whenever I get my oil anyways Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Dunno if the pic will come out as I normally use photo bucket but, here's one of the billet ally brackets fitted. They're needed on the classic 160 rear hubs move the caliper away from the centre of the hub to allow for the bigger disc diameter Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

I didn't intend on selling it so I've still got it bud . Just intended to keep it in the shed as a spare . I will be keeping the actuator as it's the same as the one im running on my tdo5. I'll send you a text to let you know where I am and we'll sort something fella Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

brake upgrade advice
Sorry I missed this post are your brakes completely standard . 2 pot calipers with vented discs on the front . Single pot sliding calipers with solid discs on the rear ? On my 97 uk turbo I upgraded to 4 pot subaru front calipers with the bigger drilled and groved discs . Calipers and discs just bolt straight on The rears are newage 2 pot calipers with bigger drilled vented discs . You do have to buy conversion brackets (about £60) and remove the rear splash guards to make them fit . They're good enough to stop mine running 320 hp and probably set me back £450 all in . I'd also recommend some braided brake lines (about £50) and a fluid refresh . Have a squint at my project thread pg 1 for the fronts and pg7 for the rear conversion Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

De-Badge
I used the mrs hairdryer to get them off , zipo lighter petrol to break the glue down and a bit of g3 (or t cut) to prep before polishing/waxing .
