I would get a 2nd engine priced up with fitting and workout which is cheaper in the long run, you said it would take a week if you have the rebuild so gives you a bit of time . But as Jay said depends on how much you like the car I guess. £1200 seem's about the right price for te head to be done as said in the other post. And not tell them I wont tell you what or what not to do. I wouldn't myself but I'm the sort that gives the car an oil change new breaks and pads before I sell it :D

I agree it's a snatch if you have the know how or a friend that can help out with it auto gearbox :( . Nice find though :)

I used the side of a cage once that looked ok angle grinder and just cut it to the size I needed ;) then drilled some holes for the licence plate. :D

Yeah I know their not cheap :( I think I used that on an old car it did the job, but I would recommend giving them a good coat of clear lacquer they started to rust in no time at all but looked good when I had done them :D

I agree mate I think it's scary how many I'm seeing being broken. I got speaking to a lad the other day who said he's been buying them just to break does it all from his garden, said he's been doing about 3 a month :(

I've always said to me the only black car I will ever own will be the RB320 :D Even though I do like black cars but knowing what I'm like for having a clean car I'd be forever cleaning it :D

I would go with the 1st option myself ;) MOT guy It look's far enough away from anything and behind it you can see it look's rust free. I'm not sure with the inner wing's but as long as you did the above and then replaced it with a fiberglass wing would do the same job. But I would see it as a waste of money if you can do it yourself :)

I'd say from looking at that as long as all the rust can be taken out and you can get a bit of plate welded on there almost like a body panel maybe some filler for extra sound proofing it is doable. Is a strange place to see rust on an Impreza. But think that is repairable and make sure bit of underseal is put around there after repair I think should see it for the rest of the car's life.
