a little project thread of my turbo 2000
Gambit replied to davievtec's topic in Subaru Build Threads
Thats what I like to hear. Just reminded me my Missus said I could have a go pro for Christmas or one of them dump valves I best refresh her memory :D -
Picasso would have been well pleased with it. I don't know what you mean and you forgot to mention the massive pair of !Removed! carefully placed on the front with the scoop just nicely resting in between them. A lot of thought went into that car :D
-
Yeah they are mate, the STI says STI instead of impreza and has a light that flashes to say change gear :D
-
Sounds like you might need to get your self booked in if stuff like that's coming out your rear end a bit of colonic irrigation is in need ;) Just make sure you take some extra cash if you go I went for a colonic irrigation, then got hit with a huge £259 bill. F&cking cleaned me out.

Yeah that will be great we have a group buy's section think the last one I remember was the blitz Nur spec-r exhaust Haha long time ago now that was :D And remember pictures I need pictures of the holiday. It's the only reason I let bips and Tlag and Adam stay around here for the pictures man it's the pictures ... -
Any Subaru tuned up to A600 no more than that :D We try not to crash and keep it as real as possible but like any race contact is made sometimes but I think most of us give the place back unless they spin badly then it it's point and laugh ;) And I stopped doing any paint jobs on my car they all laughed at mine on the starting grid but did help me get around the 1st few corners while they was all having a giggle :D

I think it will be the MAF by the sounds of it. I'd do what Tlag said see change it if it need's doing and see how it goes after that just remember to reset the ECU if you change it. If you need hand with that we have a guide some where can dig out showing you how to do that with little to no tools needed :D -

As long as it's a genuine one HERE So if you know anyone else giving one away, you can give it my way :D And thank you but my mate would have killed himself or someone else. Nice guy don't get me wrong top bloke very friendly wouldn't hurt anyone. But always wanted to go faster than everyone else he was crazed on it. I would say the saying if speed ever kills me line was more suited for him :D And Nurburgring is an amazing place you will love it. You will have an idea of the track from the games it's how I 1st got in to wanting to go I've only been the once. but when you go round it's a totally different feel the bumps how you think you will take the corner everything I got a bit scared too I think I went thinking I was going to own the ring but it owned me :D Motorbikes and other cars was flying past me 2nd lap was better. But I would loved to have been able to have spent the day on my own just going round to learn it. I think thats why people like Adam and Tlag Bips keep going back ;) -

Should have words with Bip's and Adam I know bunch of them will be going :D And it's ace just be careful the track takes no prisoners I've had a mate of mine get killed there :( But don't let it put you off he was a nutter livid to push speed to it's limits. And I said he would have killed himself looking for more speed one day, I was surprised he lived as long as he did may he rest with more speed in heaven :D And free thats my favourite price :D They sell for nearly £300 well jammy. -

No just open onto the TMIC be fine I need the one off your's before I can send mine though so not sure how you want to work that :) It's not like I'm going any where I'm near Louth bit of a drive to Grantham to pick a scoop up ;) so would want it to be posted if I can. I don't mind paying for P&P for it and pay to send mine back. Have to let me know :D And the top scratch is about 3" and the bottom one is about 1" I was cleaning the car and couldn't miss them :D -
I was going to ask the same thing :D happy to plan it for next weekend if that suit's everyone more. But not tied up so can make this weekend if everyones in. Did you get sorted to Matt ? Be cool to have another few racers. And looking at Dogconkers lap times I'm glad he's not joining in :D as good as the races are between me and Nick I doubt any of us would catch him ;)
-
Wow that was well over due for the diffs and gear box to be changed I don't think I've ever seen mine that bad :o And spot on job mate looks brand new again. Ready to go pick up one of the many Ladieees ;) Managed to give mine a good clean today to be fair get the nasty salt off it :(
-
I'd start by getting a post up in the local meet up section looking for members might take awhile to get people posting on it, might even get some local's come on that have a mini meet set up, that would be my 1st steps. to start and then I will give you hand trying to get people :D

Could try clean it, it's I've always been told not too as it can cause more damage. But you never know :) -
I had a £5 scratch card bought for me at christmas and won nothing so other than that I can't advise :D But massive bonus if you have pay for car repair at least :D And I agree the Subaru is one of the closest things to being on bikes with 4 wheels I love how Subaru owners wave to each other when passing it's like a big family :) And the Police are not to bad round here I've never been stopped yet I believe they see the car's maybe check details and think most of us that have these cars that are nice respect them and look after them so don't bother me. But that could be wishful thinking and a bit of luck. Might be waiting to prove me wrong :D And like you I do slow down and let the odd copper out on purpose ;)
-
I've never spoken about my errm mishap until now :D I'm sure many of us have done it :(
-
Will do when it arrives. Thought it was going to be here today but no joy :( I don't even know the mileage thats on the clocks. It was one of those impulse buys that women seem to get I blame the feminist in me ;) this is the cluster anyway, should be red when it lights up if I think but anyway my gauges can be made to light red when I turn the lights on and blue in the day so thats the plan :D
-
People do put their number's on here with sales and not had any complaints. But I'd only put my works mobile on here as it is a public viewing forum, I'd like that to change at some point to registered members only for most of the forum. Maybe something I should bring up with the owners again ;)

Just remember the Cif for extra lube and abrasion.

Job well done and some quality time with the family :D

Hey Diz hope you all had a good new year. :( sorry to see those pictures I bet you was gutted. I know I was once bit like you, was reversing into a space both car's was parked close to the parking spot but not to be deterred and showing off my amazing reverse skills I presided to attempt to wedge myself into it using only my mirrors as guidance I got the sudden jolt of shame as I came crashing back down to earth hit a lamp post knocked the rear spoiler off and a small dint in the boot think the spoiler took most of the impact :( lucky it wasn't to bad managed to get the dint out a bit and repair the spoiler with no cost other than my pride :( I'd never claim on the insurance. I look at it as another form of tax with a safety incase I crash into someone, I wouldn't even claim even if I binned my car as long as nobody else was involved anyway. I'd look at a full boot lid and spoiler from a breakers see a few silver cars being broken might get lucky. And as Jay said have a look 1st see if you can push them out.
-
Other than any breakers yards or on here :D I'd say ebay. :D

Sounds good to me mate :D I'd made two scratches about 2" long on the drivers side and it annoys the hell out of me. Let me know I'm sure it can't be any worse :D -

You're very welcome mate I'd look at the MAFS and idle control valve followed by the 02 sensor in no particular order :D Would be my next steps anyway
