  1. Hi welcome to S.O.C And lovely choice of car I love the Hawkeye's :)
  2. Yeah I would love to have popped down and had a look at some of the projects you have going on but just to far at the minute with other things I have going on at this moment in time :( But hopefully get a good turn out :)
  3. Well I guess there is some good news there that we now know it's the MAF that is the problem before you buy another one just check that there is no cracks splits in the hose spray water on it why it's idling should hear a change in revs check it's all tight as well. And code P0113 Internally failed IAT sensor Faulty connection at IAT sensor Open in IAT ground circuit or signal circuit Short to voltage in IAT signal circuit or reference circuit IAT harness and/or wiring routed too close to high-voltage wiring (e.g. alternator, spark plug cables, etc.) Faulty PCM (less likely but not impossible) First, if you have access to a scan tool, is there an IAT reading? If the IAT reading is logical then the problem is likely intermittent. If the reading is less than -30 degrees, unplug the connector. Install a jumper wire between the harness connector signal and ground circuits. The IAT temperature reading on the scan tool should be maxed out at the high end. For example it should be 280 degrees Farenheit or higher. If it is, the wiring is okay, and it may have been the connection. If it isn't install the jumper wire between the IAT signal circuit and the chassis ground. If now the IAT reading on the scan tool is maxed out then check for an open in the IAT ground circuit. If you get no reading at all on the scan tool, it's likely that the sensor signal is open or the 5 volt reference is missing. Check using a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) for a 5 volt reference. If it's there, then unplug the connector at the PCM and check for continuity on the IAT signal circuit between the PCM connector and the IAT connector. 4. To be fair any 1 code I have found is linked to five or more faults it's picking the right one I just went with the most common fault that brings the code on that I could find. And I agree it is best to get it read by some top quality equipment. Oh and MD some people want to turn up to your garage meet up mate not sure if you have seen it :)
  5. Depends on what damage it's done really. But I would say anything from £700 to £1000 inc labour, it's a bigish job and takes awhile to fix :( But if it's a mate or someone you know maybe cheaper but around that figure.
  6. A taxi! nothing like mixing business and pleasure :D But I agree some nice looking motor's I'd be happy if I can get a turn out around my area like that. But seems most people around here are so miserable :)
  7. Looks good some very strange looking Subaru's among the line up ;) But a better turn out then my BBQ anyway :D
  8. That be great be interesting to see. And I don't blame you for having ago yourself got to be worth a shot lets face it can't make it any worse :D
  9. Haha... That's an all time 1st for me why someone is selling there car And I agree the Volvo is a bit of a step down the car ladder :( But hopefully not for to long ;)
  10. :( I can't believe you are selling it Well best of luck with the sale mate :(
  11. I sold a router once an got scammed from an over sea's buyer I now add to the listing that I wont send over seas. Not even if they pay for the item. They just back through Paypal when they get it and say they never got it :(
  12. Agreed I've had one for years that just works with my phone. One of the best things I bought and really didn't think it would be that great :)
  13. Echo Jay's comment would say check the earth too
  14. :( oh that doesn't sound good at all is the car still making noises or have you not tried to turn it over since Is there any oil leaking ?. But from what I'm guessing either head gasket's gone or big ends.
  15. Hi mate welcome to the forums. I've not done one myself. Best people on here that I would say would be Tlag Bips or Adam, but from what I have heard it's better to just buy another gear box then refurbish one. But that being said I would have ago if you have the time. I'm not sure what cost of parts are either, but if you do go and do it feel free to post some pictures up or just let us know how you get on.
  16. I thought I'd added that :( I did in bodywork :)
  17. No prob's hope all goes well and it's the easy fix. :)
  18. Will have a look at the induction later mate I'm sure there should be more parts to it then that. Will have a better look later been called out for a job now :( But like the odd picture of port on a few of the pictures very sophisticated :D
  19. Hmmmm love that P1
  20. will add that too mate thanks for the heads up :)
  21. If you have not tried the above it could be a clogged Banjo bolt that is a known pain in the !Removed! with this type of car or very bad oil flow to the turbo. But would also just check oil levels from looking others have had this code and oil level was to blame. :)
  22. I have to ask is it on current car ? I've just about taken mine to it's limit I wouldn't want to go anymore and would cost me more then £1500 if I wanted to :( But I would buy myself a nice classic to play around with :D but I've always liked the idea of an on and off anti lag system so that's what I would get for my car now ;)
  23. I'm not saying the Scoob with ever replace the feeling of the power of a Ducati but it is the closest I've ever got after my motorcross bikes. The snow is great just for fun but don't get me wrong it still put's a smile on my face in the dry summer or track days. I do want to sort out my breaks before the next trip there, after a bad experience late breaking and them fading away very quick :) And I'm starting to think the other members are making me look bad on purpose by not replying. I thought you would have had everyone saying buy this buy that. maybe I jinxed it ;) But if you want classic shape some nice once's just posted up like the P1 Jay posted to another one I think will be a good buy but is a Jap import podted by Scooby Pete but had loads spent on it but not finished :) Again depends really on what you want like most things :)
  24. Maybe some good news then :)
  25. hmmm not sure with that one FI FI is on there that I do know :)
