  1. Does look better then your's Stanton ;)
  2. Don't forget you will get some gains by stripping weight too cheapest place to start :)
  3. Pete have you had it done by a mobile guy I just want to know does it cost a lot more to do it that way ? I know Clinton is willing to pay to borrow some alloy's but just wanted to know what the cost would be. For me it was £40 for the tyres to be taken off £120 for all four alloys to be tarted up. I've never really looked into mobile guys. But I guess if they was going for carbon dipping wouldn't be any good.
  4. Haha Godzilla like it And if you wanted you could keep the shelf to make the rings for the speakers. But on the other hand if it stops you getting wet seats you might be right and better leaving them ;) And with the K&N filter if you mean the MAFS yes that has to stay. When getting the cone it should come with a bit of pipe to attach it too.
  5. Hi Rick welcome to S.O.C And I have to say a beautiful looking hatch exactly how mine would be if I had a hatch. I like the rear wing too :)
  6. Came across this might interest some of you I signed up :) http://subaru.co.uk/concept-cars/
  7. I had to climb out the window and jump on to the side it was a narrow off road track :) And that is where it stayed until a farmer pulled it out :D
  8. Hi and welcome to S.O.C I would go Petrol but that's because I have always had petrol cars and I would be stupid enough to put the wrong type of fuel in it
  9. Hi and welcome to S.O.C As Jay said some pictures would be great to see :)
  10. I was close enough :) I did read one guy said he got through water just below his head light's with no problem but wouldn't want to risk trying anymore. I remember I tried once in a Ford Cortina Estate was about a foot deep it didn't end well :( wet feet and a stuck car :)
  11. the Sticky stuff remover worked best for me by far followed by the WD40 (magic stuff) then the petrol on a rag but took longer as it made the glue go like wall paper paste so took longer cleaning off
  12. Supra nice, love that car :) And you never know someone might have some winter shoe's local to you :)
  13. Agreed we had the van's MOT at the same time too nothing like making life hard work sometimes :)
  14. What can I say in my defence. Begged by friends to say bye before I left and being so ***** sure I was Iron man I couldn't be hurt....Yes I felt confidant ;) It was bound to happen :) And I agree I wouldn't ride now without the right gear on, I still see fool's on CBR's and R1's hmmmmm R1 ;) wearing noting more then a helmet and t-shirt with jeans. I would hate to think what the big grey flesh grater would do if they came off with them clothes on :( And funny enough I have of late been bad for the seat belt too driving off while putting it on I said about that to the Missus I should stop it :) Anyway back to what's fun I love summer never want it to end. But the snow in the scoob it's ace. That's all I have to say :D
  15. No problem yep MAFS would most certainley be my next stop then and would almost put mylife on it being the problem with everything else changed. Does it almost stall when slowing down towards round about's or traffic lights ? that will be MAFS issue. But just because there is no cracks or any sign from the coil pack doesn't mean it's not a problem I know from experience. But I did get a miss fire code from the cylinder but no EML came on
  16. I believe you can swap the engines to be turbo'ed but would cost a lot :( But you would have one hell of an Outback that would make the beemer feel like a bad dream. But I'm guessing you are not wanting to do that :) I would say there is very few things you can do really to gain a lot of HP out if it without spending lot's. Jay did post up something that is worth a look for all non turbo Subaru cars. Don't get me wrong the Outback will still be better for the roads you are driving down more then the beemer. But I think the Forester would have been better for the same type of car but with bigger HP. Anyway will look for the link Jay posted and link you to it Here you go mate down near the bottom. I know it's not the same engine but worth a look http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1813-sports-injectors/
  17. I've removed them before on 2 of my old cars but the badges was smaller the the big SUBARU across the boot :D But think I will do it sooner or latter I will sit and think about it for a few weeks then just think right that's it there coming off and just go and do it :D
  18. Shhhhhh I'm trying to wing it ;) He said at low speed so I'm guessing the sparks not working right making it not burn all the fuel to make it stutter I could be wrong like most things it's guess work :D
  19. Hello mate was wondering if you had given up been awhile ;) I made some MDF rings to pack mine out so I could fit them without the window catching the speakers only way I know how to get around it. And for the work you have had done that was a good price bearing on it's own cost's me £130 And yep that hole need's sorting out been eating away for awhile that :)
  20. If I had some mate would be happy to have lent you some and lived closer :) But I've sold the last set I had as they was doing my head in taking up room in the garage :(
  21. Maybe Fuel filter need's a change. But my guess will be either spark plugs are going bad or coil packs.
  22. Haha.. Yeah January is like that for me really bad month straight after Christmas and New Year and Road tax and Insurance renewal :( and MOT just for a kick to the mid section ;)
  23. Haha I like the stealth buy's :) and there also so on my next to do list :)
