  1. Well if you buy another Subaru. I will send you over some bubble wrap for the car ;) And I hope you don't drive the busses the same way as the car :) So £475 I don't think is bad at all.
  2. I don't think there is a lot in them. fuel saving wise and more torque and power band a little lower in the rev range for the 2.5ltr but not a lot in it, as you can mod the engines to suit the power you want. So other then Tax and maybe your insurance might want you to pay more. I've never had a quote to check the difference myself Think also you will be looking at Blobeye 2.0 is 55 plate and they changed the engine for the Hawkeye to a 2.5. You might have had an engine swap at the car your looking at, so it's possible you might be getting a 2.5 Blobeye I've just finally let the Blobeye go but if I had the choice would have a 2.5 Hawkeye But what ever you go for you wont be disappointed with either car
  3. I think I would keep looking for another Scooby. But I did say I was bias ;) But you might find with a bit of TLC you might make a small profit with the Civic. Not sure what you paid for it. might get luck looks in good nick
  4. Just point out the OP Posted 29 February 2012 - 12:37 PM ;) But if you pop back welcome back
  5. Ohhhh sweetie. I will as long as you promise to pull my hair and run off why shouting "Chase me - Chase me" ;)
  6. Well it's Jap And It drives better then nothing. Oh and it has windows :) There not bad cars to be fair. And no I don't want to swap ;) Not sure driving around with a balaclava is a good idea, what about when you need fuel. be sending us all VO's next ;) Are you modding it or just using it for now as a run around car ?
  7. Hi mate to add oil to the gear box just take the dipstick out and fill from the dipstick tube Does sound like a dead gearbox to me synchromesh could be worn. which could mean a lot of money I believe it is cheaper to buy a refurb Gear box then have it fixed but don't hold me to that. But you might be lucky with just adding some oil in the gearbox. So try that 1st I would But on the Brightside..... Welcome to the forums! :D
  8. I thought you said you loved to drive it ? :)
  9. I do love the new GTR. My younger brother had the old style it was quick. Until he raced it without letting her warm up 1st. Pulled in to a petrol station started to fill up, see smoke coming from the engine like a fool next to the pumps opens the bonnet up... WoooSH! air sucks in and big fire ball. And yes I did PMSL when he was telling me ;) Oh and just like the God's of the roads was looking down on me the suns out :) but can only give her a quick wash today :(
  10. Hey Daz Welcome to the forums. And your more then welcome to pop on and chat. But some advice even if your as you say, crap. If you meet up with Simon Poole, if he invites you to go for a drive in his car don't... He will make you paint your finger nail's with RB320 on them. And I'm not sure if it will include toenails or not :D
  11. I live in the Countryside So do a lot of driving on side roads A roads and around town 90% for me are Audi drivers, not so much BMW drivers. But a guy I know who drives a scoob and is a lorry driver said BMW drivers for him also. But he lives in town. And with the Pitt bull thing I do see a lot of young drunken drugged up men walking them around :D And maybe it's me. But when did wearing shoe's become fashion to wear with tracksuit bottoms
  12. Oh relief :) least you should be sorted soon. And thank you for letting us know, least if anyone else has that problem I can pass it on as a possibility. feel free to upload some pictures. I like pictures
  13. Oh... I see why you spend time with your car now. Still a good choice :D
  14. Hi mate welcome to the forums Does the car run ok i.e rev problems/stall's Have you checked the oil levels of the car ? 1st thing I would check When did it last have an oil change ? I would also check the belts and pulley wheels see if any of them are slack or wobble when cold
  15. If she asks you had to wait for the fish.... To be caught :D
  16. Looks very nice. I'm sure if you add the basics like that your scoob will look fine. And for me window tints a must. You never know when you might be in the back seat with the girl from the local chip shop :) Or to hide the mess my kids make along with other thing's of value I leave in the car out of view :)

It sort of went rubbish when Mitsubishi and Subaru pulled out for me. I watch the highlights on youtube still. Enjoy the Rally America more now myself.
  19. Hi welcome to the Club David And I don't think you need to drive on the road to be able to appreciate car's ;) And if you get chance feel free to upload some pictures as long as its ok with your dad of course. the 22b is my 2nd favourite classic style car :D
  20. Hi welcome to the Club Please feel free to share some picture's, and if you have any plans for the car :)
  21. Oh right I thought with the nail art picture the other day she was bagging her self a drive in it :D Oh and between me and you I don't blame you ;) And tough call really I like the 2012 cars if you get the large spoiler on it anyway, but a RB320 pfft.... All I can say is I'm glad it's not me with that choice, I think it would get the better of me and I would. Maybe a few test drives 1st just to make sure
  22. Ouch touch wood not killed a turbo yet :)
  23. Myself I only use a named brand fully synthetic 10W50. I choose to use this. But since been told its the best one to have, by a guy who repair's and rebuilds Subaru engines. And another who works with Oil's. Some other's might tell you what they use, or you can go to an Auto shop give them your reg they will be able to let you know what there computer tells them. But would always use a brand name and not Carlube like someone else I know, he's not had problems but would not trust it myself. I also use Blueprint filters :) but you can choose what you like I guess
  24. There is no full member as such as in paying yet this may change to help with discount with these days and to help limit places available as like most things will be limited 1st come basis, and the running of the forum. But any of that is to do with Steve I have nothing to do with that side of it. So not really my place to say anything to much about that ;) I have heard that Japfest is not as good as Trax and not organised as well. Hence the 2 hours just to get in :) But would still be happy to go. Trax is Silverstone http://www.traxshows.co.uk/
  25. Ohhh I like picture's :) look forward to seeing it mate P1 ? Best Classic shape ever IMO
