  1. Hey-hey. Was just thinking I wonder if you had got on a little bit more or not. Bless him, he looks well happy :) And car's look GREAT! massive improvement. And I forgot to check about the OBD port sorry Does it sound any better with the new back box on ?
  2. I cant see why you would have any problems. When I have changed many parts they are pretty much like a swatch watch really. Take parts off and swap them around. So cant see why that would be any different, and with the same code. And I believe the old classic shape STI was 5 speed gearbox. But would double check that make sure it's not a 6 speed And I meant send them an email or ring them and see if they could tell you if you can use any gearbox. But as I said before I would take the risk myself and see if it fits with that one you have found. I can't see there being a problem, but some things like this you never really know until you get the old one out. And why it was out I would also do the Clutch :( And I know you said the £ can't go to far. And believe me I bet there's not one person on here who has not been there mate. But doing the clutch at the same time will save money, and I'm sure the garage will tell you the same thing. Unless the new gearbox has the clutch in it they can check it I guess before hand. :)
  3. Your welcome. And that would be much appreciated :)
  4. Looks stunning mate. And I know the feeling of having to let one go ( NO! I don't mean a !Removed!) it was a Blobeye I let go this week :( Not from loss of work just running two was getting to much hard work :) on time and money :( But best of luck with the sale
  5. Hi mate welcome to the forums And think you will have found the right place for Subaru fanatics. part from the one Civic driver I wont say his name. Hey Stevew071 ;) And feel free to post some pictures up of both cars mate. Nobody mention the rugby....
  6. I think you can fit any gearbox if its from a turbo of the same year of your car. But to be on the safe side I would recommend these http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/ They did a full engine rebuild on my car and know what there talking about far better then me. And there from your home city :) Hope that helps. And sorry for passing the book :)
  7. Yeah looks good to me mate. Couple of thing's. Will there be other sizes, and colours available. And I will try nip this in the bum before anyone else asks or to answer it in one go. I take it there is no price as yet :)
  8. £300 not bad they will strip it then I guess
  9. 100 in PSI I take it is fine at start up. Once warm it should drop and move up and down as your revs go up. But don't worry if its stuck at 100 to much might be a faulty sender. I would only worry if it was at 0 that's not good at all :D
  10. Your welcome. Just hope it's helpful and not more to think about :D
  11. Don't blame you least you know what its had done to her by yourself. And I love my bugeye :)
  12. I'm glad to hear it. The bit about the lampposts I mean :) And I will also excuse you of your ignorance and treachery as you have not had a Subaru turbo ;) ....Yet! :D And your more then welcome to pop back and chat mate keep us up to date with the Civic. And at least our banter managed to cheer you up a bit. I'm guessing we have all had a car killed off at some point and know how it feels :( What did you do with the Subaru anyway Scrap it ?
  13. I think 60K miles is the full kit change and 30k is just the belts was with my ST170 anyway. I will be going full kit on mine when its due in about 18k miles :( And like Jay said before depends on the belts you get. with how much you pay think the belts I'm looking at was £350 (I mean the full kit) And I would shop around online get some great deals sometimes ebay can be good to check out
  14. Look forward to seeing them. Any more plans for the car, other then filling up with fuel and taxing it MOT's they don't count :D
  15. Funny I was thinking how quickly your 1st post soon went off topic :D
  16. Hi as said above. And welcome to the Club
  17. Like Jay just said, have a look see what cost to get a spoiler and the alloys then list it when you sell as a replica VTI.
  18. Dam it! there on to us Simon.... Now where did I put the nail varnish remover? Sod it WD40 do the trick ;)
  19. B.e.a Utiful looking sport there Critter the shoes look nice too suits the car
  20. Hahaha your right they can go to court and still look cool. All makes sense now :)
  21. Well if you buy another Subaru. I will send you over some bubble wrap for the car ;) And I hope you don't drive the busses the same way as the car :) So £475 I don't think is bad at all.
  22. I don't think there is a lot in them. fuel saving wise and more torque and power band a little lower in the rev range for the 2.5ltr but not a lot in it, as you can mod the engines to suit the power you want. So other then Tax and maybe your insurance might want you to pay more. I've never had a quote to check the difference myself Think also you will be looking at Blobeye 2.0 is 55 plate and they changed the engine for the Hawkeye to a 2.5. You might have had an engine swap at the car your looking at, so it's possible you might be getting a 2.5 Blobeye I've just finally let the Blobeye go but if I had the choice would have a 2.5 Hawkeye But what ever you go for you wont be disappointed with either car
  23. I think I would keep looking for another Scooby. But I did say I was bias ;) But you might find with a bit of TLC you might make a small profit with the Civic. Not sure what you paid for it. might get luck looks in good nick
