there is not that many radio's on Scooby's that hav radio codes just check it not a fault on radio ;). 08 ones r ones that do so you may be able to get radio code from Scooby but looked on some forums and could not get one or any mention of them sorting problem. most just change stereo to after market.

new pads on back for calliper not checked the pads inside but the handbrake works fine and I can push the car forward and back. I am thinking it is diff myself but don't want to go down that road just yet. :(. May look at brakes when wheels come off for the prop. thanks for post I hav looked around and it look like they are weaker than the impreza ones. As never heard of it while I had them.

Right cut a long story short. changed my sub frame bushes few weeks ago then had what I thought was a wheel bearing issue. I then thought it could of been a diff bush problem as had a low humming noise, I changed diff oil and put anti slip in as well. Then went to Blackpool yesterday went ok there. got in car to come back and the car when reversing felt like it had a handbrake on carried on and set off I got a loud humming noise and a clicking from centre of car which increase on speed. I think I have a lot of play in prop, as I never had this prop of the Impreza the one on that felt like it had little play. am I right in thinking that even being different prop it should feel same. I am now thinking of changing prop first then diff and bushes as low on money. any other ideas may help my cause.

prop is different so think diff is also. I am still trying to work on problem. I hav not got parts yet just found them on ebay. I am thinking of only changing prop at mo as it's all about room and money as I hav most of the impreza here. but as I said it's always the parts you don't hav that goes wrong. I hav put a new thread up to explain what is going on and ask for advise so not to take over this one ;) .

i am going second hand. i am getting prop, drive shaft and diff for £150 and £50 p&p. lets pray it is ok as can't see her letting me hav a new one car cost £900. what year is yours as I hav been looking round and it looks as if the forester has a weak prop and diff at the back hav loads of problems :( .

I had same problem with my cars (toyota corolla and impreza) at mothercare so went to Halfords and got a recaro young sport and a old one years back, as I have a 12 year old and a 2 year old. Never had problems with it on mot. I have never seen anyone get a seat from mothercare. It is buckle crunch, but most cars have this problem and most people are unaware.
