  1. You'd hate the XV then, it uses its front fog lights as running lights. So I'm always a fog light ****** Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Doesn't sound good, is it just protesting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It's only as clean as it is because I drove 70 miles along the M6 in pouring rain which cleaned it up a bit [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Welcome, nice car. You're not far from me I'm in Staffs. Nothing wrong with getting people into Subarus early Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'm a bit lucky in that I technically work from home so I claim mileage wherever I travel too. Definitely hate that they salt the roads. Other country's you just have to have winter tyres it's much easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I think this had more to do with crappy country lanes and mud than winter salt. But yes it's going to be a long winter car cleaning [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :o It's all dirty, all this in one day, a quick trip to a site in Chester, looks like I'll be cleaning this weekend
  10. Not at all, re read my message, that too was sarcasm [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Nasty one that, makes the shunt my wife had in mine look a bit tame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I like to be as helpful as I can, at least now you can rule me out of having anything useful to contribute [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yes, someone does, but it's not me [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I've switched ad paying about these as last year now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Just had my insurance renewal through from Admiral, when the car was new they quoted me £299 which was fair for the value and mileage I do, today having made no fault claims, my car having devalued and nothing's changed they increased my annual premium by £155, that's over 50% increase on last year. How do they justify this. They managed to knock off about £60 as I complained. I've got insurance which is about £12 more than last year now which seems ok with inflation etc. Insurance companies are just criminals. Sick to death of changing my insurers every single year. Rant over, going online to shoot and blow up some kids that shouldn't be playing GTA anyway. Aaaarrgghh!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That doesn't sound like the perfect get up for a car purchase Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. If it's not perforated then it will or at least turn it to metal so you can fill it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I probably wouldn't have admitted that last bit though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Best thing you can do is use something called Hammerite Kurust, it chemically converts rust back to a form of metal, you can then paint and treat and it won't rust further. More effective than covering. Would be worth trying it out I've used it on old cars and it's been very effective. Even used it on the bottom of my radiators where they were leaking slightly, no more rust and no more leaks. It's about a fiver from Halfords. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. With the weather coming I wouldn't be parking your pride and joy under any trees if I were you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Having looked at the reviews I've not looked further into specific tires for winter, these come out pretty good. Certainly this morning on the ice we had I couldn't get any loss of traction even though the Ford Focus in front was sliding all over. I'd certainly agree on the choice of car. Should be noted though that we are probably the entire XV ownership on this forum bar mate a couple of more quiet owners. [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
