  1. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  2. at Martin's, not Gambit's
  3. I'll be there (unless i get held up with traffic :( )
  4. hi mate welcome to the club
  5. also, it's a direct plug in to the std wire, not cutting and joining. and if you ever want to take it off and sell it, you will get your money back
  6. I've had 2 fibreglass copy spoilers and both have had the same problem, they crack and let water in :( from a breaker you should be able to get a genuine spoiler in the correct colour, with stronger spring's thrown in, for £300 how much for a replica? £150? plus paint. £100? then get hold of the stronger springs. not much cheaper for a much inferior item ;) I paid £200 for my genuine one from a breaker, because it was black (a 'less' desirable colour) it was cheaper (and matched my car :D ). so you could get a black genuine one for £200 and spray it yourself
  7. the sti spoiler will fit straight on, but there are more fixings you can use if you don't mind drilling the boot. i fitted my sti spoiler a year ago just using the wrx fixing points and not had a problem. you will need the stronger boot torsion bars too, otherwise it will be heavy to open the boot :) a prodrive back box won't be much louder, have a look for a cat back system. 2.5" is the std size, it should unleash some of the growl if you get a deresonated centre section, or go for a 3" if you want it louder be careful with the dump valve, some can cause running issues ;)
  8. Hi mate Welcome to the club Car looks nice and tidy
  9. I did that on my last blob, not got round to doing it on this one yet. The intercooler absorbs heat from the engine and warms air up a bit, so if the throttle body has hot coolant in it, that warms the air too. If you bypass it, it just keeps air intake temps a bit lower
  10. very nice B) good luck
  11. Hi JGM welcome to the club what happened to the V6 you were building, I think you were expecting 800bhp???
  12. I wouldn't get another walbro pump, it cost me £80 and didn't even last 2 years, it nearly killed my engine when it failed. It won't need a remap, the fuel pressure regulator only allows the same pressure of fuel through, it will just be less likely to under fuel at high rpm
  13. had you been there earlier? car sounded great :D :D :D
  14. the bug and blob are the same foot print, i think the wrx's are the same size, but the blob sti is bigger than the bug sti
  15. Just start a dispute, item not as described, PayPal will give you a refund [emoji106] If it was sold as a replica, then you can expect slightly worse quality or fitment. But selling it as genuine is fraud
  16. Yes, they will be fine. The fuel pressure can be the same, but the duty cycle will be mapped to be shorter. The standard injectors are light blue and 420cc
  17. Front entry, the side entry is for the early classics
  18. one of my previous cars used to squeal when turning or accelerating on certain types of tarmac. at first it was great fun in the underground car park at meadowhall, but it did get annoying after 5 minutes of driving around trying to find a space does it do it on every surface? it might just be done to the tyre's
  19. the TD06 will be poor on the 2.0 engine, it's suited to the bigger 2.5 that it comes from for good spool, VF35, or for a punch in the back TD05 (same max power, just deliver the power different) my last blob and this blob have the same bits fitted. pinks, VF35, decat up and downpipes, 3" full exhaust, bigger top mount. the first one was mapped for 95ron and was 325bhp, this one is 330bhp on 99ron (i didn't want more than 330bhp) i wouldn't bother with the front mount, the std top mount is good for 350bhp (if you want to upgrade go for a bigger top mount or sti top mount), the clutch is good for 350bhp, gearbox 380ish, the engine with supporting mods is good for 400bhp don't get too hung up on top line figures, earlier torque or an extra 50lb of torque in midrange is better than 20bhp top end
  20. but the 360bhp map strangely doesn't have any RR graphs to prove........ Pat at the clinic is one of the best mapper's, if he can't get more than 340ish with a custom remap, I can't see how a generic remap by subaru can the full scoobyclinic thread has all the details http://www.ukscoobies.com/t8560-2015-performance-pack-1-underway
  21. Hi mate Welcome to the club The new sti is an awesome machine. Scoobyclinic have bought one and they are trying out different mods on it. With just a remap it only gained about 15bhp, but With a sports cat and full miltek exhaust and a custom remap I think it made 340bhp, but there is over 100lb torque extra in midrange. The limiting item is the turbo.
  22. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  23. I know quite a few of the lads off there too. I was chatting to Steve777 at scoobyclinic on Saturday
  24. If it works fine with the standard radio, the antenna isn't the problem. They are powered aerials and get power from behind stereo, some aftermarket plug adaptors don't have it connected for some reason. If I remember correctly, it's a white wire and pin 14. Just pull the New radio out and see if each wire on the car loom joins up with one from the stereo
  25. It looks good in green, but if you want a change, try removing the monster sticker and see if you like it before having it resprayed
