  1. hi mate welcome to the club
  2. Hi mate welcome to the club Have you got a good discount with it needing a service? you might see 280bhp with a filter and remap, the TD04 struggles to get to 300bhp,
  3. try keith michaels or A plan I use Keith Michaels and 3 years ago I wrote my car off, they have a specialist claims handling firm, everything was straight forward and they were very helpful I tried Adrian Flux, I got quotes and took out policies for the scooby (£50 cheaper than KM) and my work van. I got my paperwork through and my scooby was limited to 3,000 miles (I had told them I had done over 4k the previous year) I phone up to complain and they said it would be an extra £120 for up to 5k miles. I went mad and they were very arsey, I said !Removed! it, cancel my policy! they did and then charged me and extra £90 on to of my first months payment as a 'cancellation fee'. it cost me over £150 for 1 week insurance :o I call them Adrian Fluxing w4nkers now
  4. glad you had a fast sale and hope the new owner enjoys it
  5. a 2003 blob wrx shouldn't have piston slap, they use Hypereutectic Pistons. they are stronger than cast pistons and have more silicone in, but not as strong as forged. Hypereutectic Pistons don't expand and are machined to very tight tolerances. forged pistons expand when they get hot (hence the slap when cold) and once warm, are very strong my blob wrx is running 330bhp and 109k on the clock, not even a sign of a rattle on start up. I think they need to investigate further
  6. I've just booked my ticket for Saturday, see you there
  7. That's a shame, I was thinking of going on Sunday, but we go on holiday early Monday morning and need to get everything in the car ready. Don't want to rush and forget something.
  8. I'm full of good idea's (as well as kestrel super) :D
  9. I'll be driving down from Doncaster area on saturday morning if anyone fancys a convoy
  10. just found 74p, I'll send it over :D
  11. vote, what do I win????
  12. I'll have to see what I find down the back of the settee :)
  13. how much do you need to raise?
  14. some of the 100 cel sport cats struggle with the mot readings, the 200 cel are more expensive, more restrictive, but perform better mine has full decat and was borderline with readings, but passed if high readings is the only problem on my mot, then I'm a happy bunny. what pollutes the atmosphere more - my car that does 4,000 miles a year or my diesel work van that does 30,000 a year?????
  15. lol, will do I'll be coming up the A1 with a couple of other cars if you fancy meeting us on the way up (leaving Marr lodge at 8.30)
  16. the only time I manage to get 36 mpg is on a long motorway run. Traveling from Rotherham to Brighton on half a tank and Rotherham to Newquay on 3/4 a tank don't think you could get 30 + mpg doing short/medium runs due to cold starts and sat in traffic
  17. hi mate welcome to the club get some pictures up!!!!
  18. 3 years ago I went down and was just going to park in the normal car park and have a walk round. the lad on the car park said my car was too good for the car park and to go and park in the 'too good for the car park' area. when I got there the next lad said my car was too good for the 'too good for the car park' area and to park in the 'top 50' area. I ended up parked between the arena and stage in the main display area :D . I didn't even have any polish or anything, I had to go to one of the stalls and spent about £50 on stuff.
  19. I'm not on a stand, all the forums that I'm on haven't had much interest in mod nats Matt, what stand are you on? can me and Joel join you?
  20. clacton is on the way home if our lass is navigating he normally says 'can you just.....' and I know it will either be miles away or take me ages to do
  21. get your car back and don't pay him a cent he sounds like he hasn't got a clue what he's doing (there's a Rotherham garage that specializes in scoobies and he hasn't got a clue either, he even blew his own car up on the rollers :o )
  22. I was thinking the same, pictures????? yep, It's miles from anywhere, I've got to pick a lad up from chesterfield too, so about 2.5 hour journey
  23. I'm going down too, not sure where to park either :( Matt, are you on a stand?
  24. If you were closer I'd come along (I'm working down that way tomorrow, south somercoats)
