electronic boost controllers
BoozyDave replied to JonHak's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
just wait for a remap it will raise the boost pressure, but what about the fueling? or will the 'subaru self learning ecu' sort it out? if you do want more bhp, it would be safer to look into mapping it yourself and it can be done for free (apart from buying cable). personally, I'd buy an exhaust and get it mapped by a professional. it might sound expensive, but it's cheaper than a rebuild -

http://www.outdoorshows.co.uk/yorkshire-modified-car-show.html Yorkshire Modified Show, one of the best car show events in Yorkshire and the North of England. Established over 10 years ago, the show is held in the grounds of Pickering Showground, North Yorkshire. The Event has been getting bigger and better as each year passes. In 2009 the show became even more dynamic by introducing the inside show car competition called Yorkshire Top 50 which also featured again in 2010 & 2011. The Yorkshire Top 50 is now the Yorkshire Top 20, this is to make the competition more elite and rewarding to be in. If you would like to enter please email:[email protected] The exhibition hall not only accommodates the Yorkshire Top 20 but incorporates a specialist Trade Village, ICE Competition, DJs & MCs (including MC Stallion), Dancers & Models and a Radio Controlled Car Arena (featuring Drifting Demonstrations and the opportunity for you to bring your own car to compete). There will be hundreds of Cars on display within the showground, with individual entries and car clubs attending from around the country. To enter please complete an entry form from the application form section of the website. There will also be Trade Stands, Fairground and Catering Units situated around the showground. just another way to get easy cash from the motorist again breaking the speed limit is illegal = get a fine and points and possibly lose you job drugs are illegal = told off or a drug warning shoplifting is illegal = told off or a caution drugs and shoplifting cost the country more money and affect more people in a bad way, but punishments are !Removed! all speeding by a couple of MPH doesn't affect anyone else (when done within reason/location/traffic conditions). how many of the tickets will have been issued at 10pm onwards when there's no !Removed! else on the roads

Standard front Anti roll bar size on 53 plate Impreza STi
BoozyDave replied to mfnick's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
I think the standard size is 19mm, the uprated ones start from 22mm if I was going to buy and fit uprated bushes, I'd buy a bigger ARB too -
good idea Steve and very generous :)

Intercooler damaged during wash
BoozyDave replied to crimson's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
air goes in through the air filter and is 'inside' the intercooler, the intercooler is a heat sink and is there to reduce the internal temp. the temp is reduced by air flowing through the intercooler fins, if air can't flow through, it can't cool the internal air efficiently it will be fine to drive 'normal', but don't drive it like you stole it -
not sure about legacy's, my blob couldn't be done from their records (import) and had to be in the dealers to code the key correctly

Intercooler damaged during wash
BoozyDave replied to crimson's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
it looks like just the cooling fins are bent, if air can't flow through the fins, it won't cool the air going into the engine, so could det under hard use use a tooth pick or similar and lot's of patience and straighten the fins up -
hope you get it sorted I lost my key while we were shopping in meadowhell, luckily the father in law had a key for our house, he went and picked up my spare so we could get home. luckily I had the insurance key fob on, phoned them up when I discovered I'd lost it. I had to arrange with local subaru dealer to get new key sorted, I had to pay, but they reimbursed my within 5 days defo the best £10 I've spent, new key was over £250

£500 for a 700bhp turbo     400bhp and maybe 450 lb torque will make a rapid car, if you do want 500 at the wheels, you will be spending £18k + try the sc42 with other supporting mods and remap, see if that puts a smile on your face. one other thing to think about is advanced driving, learn how to use what you have got to it's full potential

BoozyDave replied to Mountainclan's topic in New Members Introductions
Hi mate welcome to the club -
What have you done to your Subaru today ?
BoozyDave replied to stants's topic in General Subaru Chat
I've finally got round to fitting my rally armor mud flaps today, it's only taken 2 and a half years while fitting them, one thing I was shocked by was how much dirt was behind the front wheel arch liners, I bet I got 1kg of dirt out of them :o might have a go at fitting my bonnet catches tomorrow too, only been plucking up courage for 4 years -
Blob double to single din fitting guide?
BoozyDave replied to jonnyboy82's topic in Subaru Audio / Electronics / Security
I fitted the pocket in the top of mine, just remove the side brackets from the original stereo and then trial and error with getting them to line up flush
