  1. I've been on here more in the last 6 months than ukscoobies, but I haven't had time to come on here much, been too busy with work
  2. hi mate welcome to the club they are a friendly bunch on here (well, sometimes gambit can be too 'friendly' in PM's) I've got an 05 reg wrx, they are a great car. you don't need to spend a fortune on them like some say. I've had mine for 6 years and have done bit's at a time, but now I'm running 330bhp (cost less than £1k) and there's not much that keeps up with me when I'm in the mood. I've already upgraded my brakes and suspension (needed replacing anyway), only thing left std is bushes and ARB's
  3. one of the other forums I went on has just closed :( It started as Sheffield scoobies and we joined forces with Nottinghamshire scoobies, when I arranged 'Remembering Richard' (Richard Burns 5 year memorial day) we renamed as 'ukscoobies' Don't know what went wrong, but less and less people were posting and the plug has just been pulled :( looks like you lot are stuck with me now
  4. Spotted this earlier, earth insulation tape
  5. looks good :D
  6. Yes, I should be there. I'm working in Nottingham on Monday, just hope traffic is ok on the way home
  7. I had a problem with my car earlier, not running right and then EML came on. I phoned Martin and he said he was busy, but come through and he'd have a look for me. I went through and he fitted me straight in, problem found and ECU reset :) cheers Martin :D
  8. the only reason i took them off was a car pulled out in front of me and damaged the headlight and bumper, i had to take them off for the respray. a week after the respray I wrote the car off :( i have considered these graphics too (black and pink)
  9. seen it on FB, it's disgusting, the parents should be prosecuted why on earth would you think it's ok to pour ice cold water on a 2 year old??? and the language the kid uses
  10. there isn't a haynes manual for the impreza :(
  11. I had the full monster (forza replica) graphics on my last blob, i still like the look of them, but they ruined the paintwork. they were on for 2 years and when i took them off you could still see where they had been, even tried professional products, but couldn't get rid of the shadows
  12. i changed the head unit first, so i haven't heard the std head unit with uprated speakers i think it will be a better sound upgrading the head unit first. great speakers will only sound as good as the head unit can produce,
  13. gampla, an average car does 10k a year, do you think anyone would buy a subaru if you had to pay £100's every 6 months for a diff rebuild? (honest question) i haven't seen oil change recommendations as low as 3,750 miles before, usually 6k miles or 6 months on the classics and 10k miles or 12 months on the new age good idea to have a full service done (by a garage that you trust), when you have the cam belt done make sure they change the pulley's too
  14. is this a **** take? diff rebuild every 5,000 miles????? don't think anyone would buy a subaru if you needed to pay for a diff rebuilding twice a year
  15. I'd go for the power mod's first, worth it just for the sound
  16. it's a difficult choice, gloss white or cadbury purple
  17. Ash, in the blobeye, the rear speakers are in the back doors i have fitted 6.5" coax speakers in the front doors (just need an adaptor ring, std speakers are 5") and they made a decent improvement. also get some sound deadening to put on the inside of the door behind the speaker. i used to have a pair of 15" subs running 'infinate baffle' (no box needed) and didn't take up much boot space. have a look at the under seat subs, they offer a decent punch and help blend into the musical sound stage
  18. i got a great video of a woman having a dump on the hard shoulder of the M25, it was that OMG i made a thread for it (I'll put the link here too so all the dashcam vids stay together)
  19. I've never had a wagon, so i can only state other opinions. '555wagon' says his handled well and then he fitted uprated 'whiteline' goodies (PM him for more details) and it was transformed into a different beast if you want a wagon, get one. improvements can be made to get it to handle how you want
  20. On our way to Brighton on holiday I spotted this unbelievable sight on the M25 hard shoulder, luckily my dashcam (app for phone, 'autoguard' £1.79) was working and saved it so i could share it with the world
  21. It was a good turn out, especially with the crappy weather Cheers Martin
  22. Hi mate Welcome to the club Car looks great, love it!
  23. hi mate welcome to the club :)
  24. Also when being ultrasonic cleaned, most places check the flow rate of them too, to make sure that they are within acceptable tolerances.
  25. hi mate welcome to the club
