  1. Welcome to the club Have you had the codes read? It could be something not relating to the DV. Are all the pipes secure? Have you got a boost gauge? it could be over boosting and running lean, so it could kill your engine. or it could be exhaust sensors getting a rich reading from the gasses after a gear change. Air goes into the engine and is measured with the MAF, so the ECU calculates how much fuel to add. But the dump valve lets some of the measured air out on a gear change, then when you get back on the throttle the mixture is too rich. Try not to drive it hard until you get it checked out
  2. like matt said, has it been mapped for the td05???
  3. That looks loads better, similar to the blob eye.
  4. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  5. Hi mate Welcome to the club Glad you are enjoying the car, they just put a massive smile on your face. Have you got any pics?
  6. Decided to try out demon foam and demon shine, what a load of crap [emoji35] difficult to get an even cover with the snow, then 2 mins later most of it is on the floor. There isn't even a trigger, as soon as you turn on the hose pipe it starts spraying out, the you have to turn the hose pipe off to stop it. Straight away it was leaving streaky marks, then agitated it with a sponge, but still left streaks even with a jet wash. Ended up washing it again with auto glym, then tried the demon shine........[emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] My car now looks dull and streaky
  7. Mine was 247 and 188 at the wheels. That's why I said 225 at the wheels for yours. At 276 it should feel quick, but it won't be as fast as an ST with 280 at the wheels. The 'needs a remap' was in response to the turbo upgrade
  8. I think an ST with 280 at the wheels would be faster. The Subaru will only have about 225 at the wheels. If it's got a simtec fitted, someone has obviously spent some cash on it. I think you have had high expectations and it just hasn't lived up to them
  9. I went out for a spin with MFNick to see if he liked the sound of my exhaust. He also likes the tunnel near my house [emoji12] Also demonstrated the smiles that pops and bangs can give, then spotted the coppers parked up [emoji15]
  10. What a joke [emoji35] What's the point of an agreed value then? Hopefully the ombudsman will see that they are trying to shaft you. Stick to your guns and don't accept anything less Its like them saying a 2.0 Sierra hatchback is the same as an RS500, they are different models, had different quantities built and command higher premiums due to rarity and more sought after.
  11. hi mate welcome to the club car looks great B) are you staying over here or is it temporary? are you wanting to buy one over here?
  12. hi mate welcome to the club I think the white wheels look ok, but I'm not keen on the wing mirrors. all that matters is you love it
  13. if it's the burble you want, you will need unequal length headers. they are specially made for the non turbo, but most have to come from USA. the turbo ones won't fit
  14. this is a link to some brakes, this was the autumn sale, so not sure what prices are now http://bbs.scoobynet.com/trader-announcements-363/985579-autumn-brake-sale-aztec-performance.html
  15. Welcome to the club If you had the alarm fitted, speak to the installer, it just sounds like a couple of wires mixed up. If you didn't, I would get an auto electrician to have a look, especially if your not experienced with auto electrics, needle and haystack spring to mind
  16. I suppose any bits are better sticking to that that moving around the engine
  17. I keep thinking of the magnetic sump plug, but I hear mixed reviews. alloy block, so those bits won't stick
  18. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  19. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  20. spec C is the stripped out model, no boot carpet, no sound deadening, no air con, smaller fuel tank, roof flap they also have the 2.0 twin scroll engine, better low down power and less lag, but you don't get the normal Subaru burble
  21. welcome to the forum it's good to see a new dealer popping up :) have you noticed that Subaru, Levorg spells 'grovel, U R A BUS' backwards

  24. hi mate welcome to the site for 8k I'd be looking for a blobeye JDM, possibly a spec C or spec D. I think you will struggle to get a nice hawkeye sti for 8k the tax changed on 06 reg, so blob's are cheaper tax, unless you can get an early 06 hawkeye, but newer than that they are £475 a year tax. if you look for a 2.5, try to get one that has got a forged engine, there is a known issue with the early 2.5 engine, it's a very low fail rate, but when one fails the owner stands and shouts about it, so it makes them all look bad and a worse fail rate than it actually is.
