What made you...
I started watching rallying in the late 80's and there were the swb audi's and delta integrales, then the early 90's and Scooby's and evo's came along. the Scooby just had it all. I wanted one for years, but had to travel miles for work and couldn't justify the extra fuel cost. just before my dad passed away, he said 'enjoy yourself while you're here' and 'you can't take it with you', after he passed away I got a new job with a work van (sparky) and I could afford it as a weekend toy, that was 6 years ago and I haven't regretted it one bit. when I go out of the house to work I look at it and it makes me smile. the noise is awesome, especially through tunnels, I've got 2 kids and they both love it and all their mates love it too. when I took it for a service, a mate gave me a lift to pick it up, I said he could drive it home, he loved it, he was smiling for weeks and still talks about it now

What fuel do you put in?
mainly Tesco 99 or sometimes v power, I'd never use anything else. why by a performance car and put poor fuel into it? maths question - 95 ron is 10p a litre cheaper than 99 ron, how many litres of cheap stuff will you have to use to save up and pay for the engine rebuild?

More damage by weekend storm
it's not been too bad up here, it's windy and raining today though there's been a bit of damage in our local area, tiles off, trees down and a couple of lorries. saw on the news earlier about the Thames, hamhaugh island has flooded, one resident 'couldn't believe it', WTF, it's an island in the middle of a big river and you can't believe it has flooded? surely living there (or when looking for a property) they must take into consideration that they are surrounded by a river and it could, possibly, flood one day I wonder if there was this much news coverage down south when Sheffield flooded in 2007, over 25,000 houses were flooded. or in 2010 when the a57 was shut due to snow and people were trapped in their cars for 3 days

Subaru Driver Gives Cop A Hand In Snow
I used to like it, but prefer the smoother drive without one fitted. Maybe mine wasn't set up as well as it could have been, it was remapped with it fitted, Is yours mafless? Or have you got front mount?

More damage by weekend storm
I can't believe the floods, it must be terrible for anyone affected by them. I know there were bad floods around Sheffield in 2007, but nothing compared to what's happening at the coast now. I had to watch the vid a couple of times before I saw the copper, funny, but must be scary

Subaru Driver Gives Cop A Hand In Snow
personally I wouldn't have a dump valve fitted. my last blob had a forge (with adjustable springs) and it sounded fine, but my new blob drives loads better on std recirc. why do you want to sound like an arctic or a bus with air brakes?

help on deciding bug eye GX vs wrx/sti pros and cons
I'd go for the WRX if a sport is turned into a STI look a like, sometimes the insurance is more expensive than a standard STI! the MPG isn't much different either, my WRX is running 330BHP and I get 22MPG just knocking about and the odd blast, plenty of pop's and bang's! and I can get 36MPG on a run I wouldn't bother with dual maps though, it's not worth the hassle, if you want better MPG wear lighter shoes :)
