Going to get my Seat Leon up for sale tonight I think :). Then get myself a bike when that sells, easier to store a bike than a car lol. Got lacquer peel on my drivers door :(, any tips to improve it?

I don't give it hell, on a run I will boost to 5 - 6k once if the mood takes me. Usually keep it below 4k but I think my problem is the roads I drive, all country lanes so a lot of slowing down and speeding up

23 mpg isn't bad for a Scooby right? I do think its got a bad map on it though, still tempted to take it for a remap.

I think I put 55ltrs in mine and I get on average 280 miles to a tank... what's that? ;)

Might be worth checking your MAF, I had a similar problem which was fixed by cleaning my veryyy dirty MAF :). Hope it helps

Black soot out of exahust
Gaulson replied to crimson's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
He means the smoke out of your exhaust. You get white smoke on a cold start up which is normal, if it keeps coming out when the car is warmed up it's not so good. Also blue smoke is very bad as it means oil is being burnt. -
No, not had it sorted yet. Been too happy having the car back. Main thing I've noticed is the gears, so short and precise lol. Such a weird feeling going from a soft suspension, soup gear changing, small car to this awesome beast. Its nice to be getting stared at as I drive past people as well

I sold project cars, got fed up with it. I know you say its like the dark souls of racing, just lacks the motive for me to get better and see past the faults. I've been playing dirt rally, now that's an awesome game

Brought her to work for everyone to admire :).

MOT'd, Taxed... took her out for a drive to fill the tank with V-Power. Oh how I've missed it!

Those lights look awesome! Might do mine when I get it back tomorrow. Not done anything to the Subaru but have done the write up in my build thread about the rebuild :).

Okay it's time for a bit of an update on this thread as I kind of left it to die. That STI intercooler and Prodrive Y pipe did turn up but was a standard intercooler. Bit annoyed but things happen don't they. Since then I'd done a few things such as remove the splitter and change the exhaust to a Ninja which gave it an awesome sound. Also had the turbo fail which meant having it rebuilt, fitting a new de-cat up-pipe and heat wrapping some of the manifold. Jumping forward in time a bit we get to my current situation, on my drive to work on Friday 13th Febuary I slid on a corner and couldn't get control of the car back. The car slid sideways into a gatepost. This ordeal left the car in a bit of a mess but nothing that wasn't fixable, the car itself was driven back to the garage without much issue. This is the damage from the accident: The next week or so was spent deciding on if the car should be fixed or sold, thankfully it was decided that we should fix her and make her look amazing once again. So we made a list of things we needed: - Wheels - Bumper - Wing - Fuel flap - Engine cradle - Subframe - Spoiler Phoned up Scoobyspares and they had nearly everything, nice one! Went down to pick up the parts, ended up ticking things off the list but was still missing spoiler and wing. The fuel flap was also the wrong colour. The wheels are Prodrive Speedline PFF7's and needed a bit of touching up. So as you expect we put them on straight away to check them out. Pictures of the wheels being test fitted and purchased parts (also broken spoiler in shot). Now it was time to get the suspension side of the car fixed so it would drive straight, all that needed changing was the engine cradle as the wishbone mount had bent. Simple job, everything came undone easily and bolted back up no problem. Bonus is the subframe we got was mint and the cradle was off a newer STI with a stiffer crossmemeber. Job done! Dropped it down and took a couple of pics of it sat on the new wheels. We spend a couple of weeks searching for a wing but with no joy, was looking like the bodyshop was going to be very expensive. Then a member got in touch saying he has most of the stuff, which was soon paid for and collected. Now it's time to fit the final parts and prepare it for the bodyshop. Wing and both doors were getting replaced so took them off, bumper was removed and placed on the scrap pile due to the big hole in it. Fitting the wing and doors took most of the afternoon, we swapped the glass and all internals from my doors into the new ones. With all this done the car is now ready for the bodyshop, a quick phonecall and the car was loaded onto the trailer ready to go. Next time I was going to see her she will be dent free (ish). Three weeks later the car is back, looking lovely but still quite a bit of work left to do. Most of it was done while I was at work so no progress reports. Everything was put back on, bumper, wheel arch, mud flaps, sump gaurd. Fitted a full set of Avon ZZ5's to the car, lovely looking tyres. By the time I got round to help again all that was left if the calipers, new spoiler and putting nice wheel nuts on. The calipers had sprung a leak and needed new seals, luckily they are stainless pistons. Bit of a polish up and they are good as new :). While I did that my brother cleaned the calipers up then we put them back together. At this point I decided they needed to be blue... All done now and ready for MOT... which I am still waiting for. Should be tomorrow (10/05/15). Drove her into the yard for some pics, looking completely different now! Next plan is to fit a proper carbon dress up kit in the engine bay (intake scoop, alternator cover, battery cover and fuse box cover). Been looking at an angled exit exhaust to make the back end look a bit meaner ;). Hope you enjoyed the read!

My Leon has normal wipers thank god, just is really tired and used. Suspension is none existent, steering is slow, gear stick is stiff and the best is the cup holder... It takes nearly a minute to open! You have to pre plan using it

No worries savage, no harm done
-
Oh that's just cruel

Just drove home, turning onto another road I pulled my handbrake and slide my car round. I can safely say my seat Leon with tired suspension and fog tyres handles better than most cars on this game

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3VCWf8fsJ0o That's the video for the settings
-
I did that, reset to default then go back to changing the buttons. Before you assign one check what has buttons assigned and what doesn't. I dont like the game, managed to get the controller settings perfect due to a youtube video... Amazing how different it is. Just the game itself is boring, you get pointless messages and they are the same everytime nearly. Good idea but for a game that's been in development for so long it sure fails to provide.
-
Okay, that worked. Stupid dead zone
-
Ah I shall try that!

Okay ive got it and quite enjoy the game but some things have annoyed me so far... Settings are a pig to get right, I've been fighting with the HUD for a couple of races now. It doesn't seem to want to save? Either that or there are different settings that clash with each other. Such as "hide mirror"... It hides everything lol. The other thing is I seem to get steering lock, not sure if its a setting on the game I've turned off such as TCS or my controller or the game bugging out. Oh and I finished the first race, watched the replay, started the next race and I was already on the track racing... The car hit a wall due to it being computer controlled then the lights came up "red, red, green" and boom I can control the car but I'm already off the track? (xbox one people can see the video I recorded) This hasn't been the best start....

Dog you are an mpg master! I get nearly 600 miles to a tank in the Leon and I think it holds the same as the scoob. Shame its a rubbish car (mine is anyway).
