  1. Is your Subaru not playing well with other Vantastic? My Subaru has been neglected recently, well, left on the drive. I've had a week off and the past few days been learning to ride a trials bike. Not doing too bad considering I've never ridden a bike before. Yes... I have fallen off ;)
  2. Sounds like a good idea... :P
  3. Something that has been bugging me is that since owning the Subaru I don't actually know what it sounds like from behind anymore :( . So I realised I could set up my Gopro behind the car... so I did! It's only a short vid and doesn't really have any revving just the occasional tap on the pedal due to it being cold. I will go a drive in a bit then get a better video!
  4. Stripped down my dash yesterday, spent a while Vinyl wrapping it. Put it back in the car and it looked cheap so stripped it all down again and took the vinyl off... :(
  5. Running cost wont be much different, the engine isn't the most economical thing.
  6. Washed my car yesterday, looks the part again now. Going to put the Prodrive sticker on the front splitter I think when I get chance. Today been to an autojumble for a look around with my brother then on the way back I showed him how good the tyres are. Good weekend so far :)
  7. My brother is having loads of trouble with a Land Rover TD4 that he has in, when warm it doesn't start well at all. Will crank for a minute before starting. He's had it plugged in and no codes... changed everything he can think of yet it still does it! Driving him nuts lol. Glad you got it sorted, it's rubbish when things aren't going right with cars and then you have no idea what's going on.
  8. That story is like a rollercoaster of emotions, sad that you hit the pigeon, happy it flew away then sad it was hit by the truck lol. Yeah I'm going to give the car a good clean this weekend to wash the blood off my hands :P
  9. Driving to work this morning a pigeon tried to commit suicide :( . It all happened so fast so there was nothing I could do about it! There is a mark on the windscreen as well. I couldn't stop to make sure it was okay because I was late for work, I will have a look on the way home. It may have only had a little bump as it was at a lowish speed.
  10. Ooof lovely, I can imagine what that looked like as a mechanic I used to know did it to his work van. However that wouldn't drive after because the nose was bent up. At least your brother got it home hey ;)
  11. Your dad must have been confused about that because it takes a lot to bend them. Did he not think something strange was going on? lol. luckily I haven't done any damage to mine :) .
  12. Was in a bad mood yesterday so drove a little fast, hit a hump and cleared about 10 - 12 foot of the road after it... I felt really bad on the car so slowed right down and took her home before I did any damage. What I can say is, it flew so flat! Perfect landing and everything :) . Lesson learnt though, keep the speed down! haha. Got next week off work so will spend some time cleaning and doing little things on the car, show it some love!
  13. Tbh I only learnt about the air con waste pipe a few weeks ago, they usually drip onto the exhaust but not all of them as you now know lol. Glad you are enjoying your car :)
  14. Have been using Air con? If so it could be the waste pipe dripping water. My information could be wrong but the waste A/C waste pipe comes out on the passanger side.
  15. Sorry, didn't read the post properly but.... 165 is the tyre width, 65 is the tyre depth/height and 14 is the diameter.
  16. Nice looking car. Some 14s would look good. Not sure what the width would be but the height of the tyre wall would drop to 65. So 165/65/14? Might be wrong though :)
  17. I want to buy a Justy and put a 2ltr turbo in it... would be awesome. Welcome to the club :)
  18. Only thing I could think of is if they had blowing from the joints and couldn't get it to stop so they welded it? :(
  19. Had a look at mine and it's dirty. We have the same sound like I said, turns out I can hear it when accelerating hard. It is the turbo spooling up, it's like a whine.whistle that isn't that loud but can be heard.
  20. Mine does that, I have a Bailey dump valve. I can hear it whistle if I'm slowly accelerating, if I floor it might do it but the engine and so on drown it out. As far as I'm aware it's normal, my brother in law (a mechanic) doesn't seem to be worried.
  21. Then should be okay, might be worth double checking with someone else to be sure though
  22. From what I know they should fit but if it's been lowered then you will get some rubbing
  23. What you running at the minute?
  24. I've been enjoying the new handling of my car with the Avons, can't believe I've been running on rubbish tyres all this time! I may go Halfords and splash out on cleaning products ;)
  25. Great work Ash! How long did it take?
