  1. Gotta love the original Legacy Outback, (not my actual car in the photo but identical) the best colour combo as well. Diesel`s a bit of a plodder but it has all the bells & whistles, some that I`ve yet to find. Just to settle any argument, and I know there are a few out there. Having had the A6 allroad for the past 4 years, and a wonderful drive it was, fully loaded and with the air suspension just wafted along. Off road they`re no match for the Subaru in any way, I actually found it a bit disappointing after all the hype from the Audi fan boys.
  2. I've just this day brought home my 5th Outback (although my last 2 cars were a Volvo XC 60 & an Audi A6 allroad 3.0 V6 tdi) I suppose i fell off the Wagon for a few years😄 New one's an SE Premium 2.0 diesel. There really is no substitute! Best if luck with your decision 👍🏼
  3. Change of plan. I was thinking of an XV but after seeing a 65 plate 2.0 diesel at the weekend I`m not impressed. Looking at this Outback today: https://www.selectcarsyorkshire.co.uk/used-cars/subaru-outback-2-0d-se-lineartronic-4wd-euro-6-5dr-keighley-202508195582810 I would appreciate any tips on what to look out for regarding the diesel engines on these. I`m used to the petrols. 🤘
  4. Posted this on XV forum, maybe better here. This one: https://www.northwesttradecentre-lancaster.co.uk/detail_page.php?id=6937506&t=2748c87cf542e8a2c802321965ceff87&utm_source=DMS&utm_medium=e-mail&utm_campaign=ENQUIRY-3693158&t=2748c87cf542e8a2c802321965ceff87&utm_source=DMS&utm_medium=e-mail&utm_campaign=ENQUIRY-3693158 Does it look like a bargain?.........What to look for/ask. Cheers!

  6. And 3 years later he returns once again😃 I went to look at a 66 plate OB in Keighley but after traveling 20 miles the dealer said it was in his lockup in Newcastle. In the end I went for a 2015 (Euro 6) Audi A6 allroad, 3.0 V6 which I`ve had nearly 3 years. But shortly will be trading it in for hopefully my 5th Outback. The allroad is a beast of a car which I`ve had mapped at around 300 bhp, is very well made and has lots of nice toys☺️ but at 174`000 miles it now needs a flywheel and a few other quite expensive jobs doing so I`m gonna get these done (If I can find someone who will do it, easier said than done!) and move it on, I should get a decent price for a sought after motor. Now then.........since I`ve had the experience of both Audi and Subaru AWD systems I can tell you that Subaru is miles better, the Audi isn't even in the same league. Still preferring diesel.
  7. Cheers for that B. I have an XC60 and it`s brilliant, done 170`000 and still wants more, and I would have another, later one but from 2014 they`re probably just out of my price range. Electric will never take over, all electric is the new Betamax! Eggs in one basket I think is the phrase. Besides, there`s a way to cleaner diesel if the people in charge of this stupid green crap would allow it. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/diesel-saving-technology-could-make-it-market-two-years
  8. Anyone know any gen on the 3.6R petrol? There`s one for sale near me.
  9. I was looking at a high mileage, 100K plus so perhaps the problems would be in the past? Petrol OBs are far to thirsty, why we didn`t get the turbo version like other countries I don`t know.
  10. Hi guy`s. Not been here for a few years (4 & a half) after turning to the dark side and buying a Volvo, reason being I was doing a lot more mileage and wanted to go back to diesel and couldn`t quite trust the flat 4 |Subaru diesel as it was relatively new. I`m now in the position of buying my 5th Outback, looking for around a 2012-14 ish hi-spec model. With the diesel being a lot more reliable nowadays I wanted a few tips, dos/don`ts etc. I may still go for the petrol, undecided as yet. The last one was an 05 3.0 RN.
  11. Very nice!
  12. Sorry mate it`s long gone, A bloke came all the way from London by train to collect it for my full asking price. I do recommenced the 3 ltr over the 2.5, it`s a class above! I`m now a Volvo XC60 owner but keep it to yourself.
  13. Good one! That's the last disc made for that system. Later mods have a memory card. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. Sounds about right.....and they are a beast of a thing.
  15. Listing it for ebay tonight!
