exactly mate,if they didn't want to sell it they would have it advertised, the one at jct as been their a while as the one in back ground with stickers all other it,i no the guy who sold that to them and jct sold that again about a month a go.if you can you want to get the 2005 model as they have a 3 spoke steering wheel looks a bit better then the 4 spoke and a bit more modern centre concole, the heater dials in my opinion looks better in them, their the same as in the hawk model.

They do come in awd i no a lad with a bug wagon 1.6 awd.not very fast but if your not looking to be a boy racer n speed everywere its a good starting point to get your no claims up Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

Couple things to look for when your buyin as well.with you sayin its your 1st subaru.lift carpet in boot and check all sealer on panels is equal and same colour,if it dont look right may have been hit up the ****.open bonnet and look at the bolts along top of the wings, any paint of them like they had a spanner on them,if so open door and look at the nut at top wing if that is same its probly had wing off at some point.a trader always advertises their stock at more then they want to sell it at,that way when you offer less they still get what they really wanted and make you feel like you got a good deal,i no that as my brother use to be car sales man at a big dealer.so always offer them less.also get it hpi even if they say its been done.also if he said he he may keep it as it be worth more in couple year, dont belive him he just tryin make you jump in and buy,he wont save it he wants to sell.be prepared to travel a bit for one if it sounds right, its worth it.i traveled 80mile to get mine. Dont jump in and buy the first one you see.its a buyers market out their as their is so many for sale, their is lots of dogs and lots of nice one's so if you look at one and not happy with it then walk away and look at another.traders need to sell them more then you need to buy it.more you look at the more you will no if something feels wrong like the cluch you said felt high.go test drive a couple more at other places and see how they feel then you will no if its wrong or not.you dont have to buy becouse you test drive them. Is the 2.5 litre engine really that bad?
aucky replied to Benjijames28's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
if your after a hawk, dont no how much you want to spend but their is some nice one's out their something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-Roger-Clark-/262818532229?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368 not sure if its right but I remember think it was a member on here that told me the hawk as the ej207 engine in and that suppose to be a good one, sure some one with more noledge with the engine type can tell you more about that. -

aucky replied to Benjijames28's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
yep if you can find a 05 its cheap insurance band, not many about though, from what i have seen most the problem was when they first bought sti suffered from ringland problems and wrx head gasket problems,if you do a lot of reading from usa and australia its mostly down to the new owners hammering them as soon as they got them, not looking after them right.their is plenty of info from tuners from their and their thoughts on it.i personally think if you got a hawk wrx with a good service history and been look after then if head gasket has not gone by now you probly going be ok with it,but not 100%,i have had 2 hatch wrx and first one headgasket gave up and it was standard but you could tell with how dirty engine was when i got it that it had not been look after and i sould have walk away from it and it was a lot cheaper then the rest,my hatch now 320bhp and no problem but was look after as it was a cumbria subaru club member car.but they are sport car and dont matter if its a 2.0l or a 2.5 if the head gasket is going to go then it will, you take a chance with it when you buy any car like this as you have to think its most probly been hammered at some point in its life. -
Problems fitting perrin hella horn bracket
aucky replied to Shaqs77's topic in Subaru Audio / Electronics / Security
dont waste your money on the perrin bracket, just use the 2 holes on the slam panel and brackets that come with the hella horns, thats what most use to fit the horns, hang them straight down job done, its like subaru put the holes their for this very mod this is my old blob using the brackets and holes, for the ac pipe you can bracket to fit round it .just found my piture with bumper off on my bug i had them on as well, sould help you. -
as @Mark D said the rear have a big drum for the handbrake shoes to go in side, the front have a bigger disk were the pads rub,but sould say on box if their front or rear and what car they fit. if you don't no which is a front and which is a rear brake I would advice you let a garage change them for you.

in the hatch driving steady from wombwell to chapletown on back roads computer on dash reads 24mpg,when I start at 6am and its quiet and I go bit quickers on back roads round 20mpg,if am late and go for it it goes to 16-17 mpg rusin on motorway don't do it much but it goes in the mid 30's so not that bad really when I had a focus st 225bhp and just driving steady that only did 21mpg best
-
Sould get around 26mpg in a standard blob 225bhp thats what mine did.my hatch i have now is 320bhp and does 24mpg unless i boot it. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

may be a little bit more for the car,but with the peace of mind I got with good after service and that it was worth it, probly Jamie that took you for a spin, jason took me and mrs last time I was their,it was dark and my mrs says she will never go for a test drive with him again lol
-
I have bought 2 subarus from Jason at jct,he is a nice guy and he wont rip you off, second car I bought he told me something wrong with drivers seat wouldn't slide but would fix it before I bought,he could sort the seat as runners was bent so he got another seat at his cost and put it in for me.will give you good after service as well if you need anything,he even put some nice after market wheels on that I had seen in his work shop that I said I like'd more then the original wrx wheel and did not charge me any extra.if he says he will change cam belt as part the sale he will.
-
I quick hose over mine, then bucket with auto glym shampoo in it,rince then micro fibre to dry, about hour from start to finish, dont see point in spendin all day when its nice wasting it cleanin a car when it most probly rain again next day, would probly take a little longer if going to a show.if its not got thick dirt on it I just use turtle wax waterless wash, takes even less time to do it then.
-
hi guys, not sure if this is a daft question but,i am wanting to spray some part with high temp paint not normal paint with the spray gun instead of using a brush, can you thin it with normal thiners or you need a special thiner, parts i want to paint are brake callipers, intercooler piping and header tank, cheers

so my mot is up next month and I have no cats on car,so I thought hmm could be a problem. So I thought I would look on net to find a cheap second hand cat just to put on for mot then would take it back off.I managed to find one at a dirt cheap price, click to buy it and to have it delivered to argos cortonwood,so I waited,a week went by I though taking a long time to arrive, so had a look on my ebay,it said was ready to pick up on the 12th jan order processing wait for code to go pick it up,12th went so had another look still same,so emailed the guy and he sent me the tracking info that said it had been delivered to argos cortonwwod on the 11th and signed for.So we both ask ebay to see what was happening with it,well ebay has just emailed to say they have refunded me as argos can not find my order .So what I am saying is,how the hell can they loose a cat pipe, its not a small envelope,it can not be that hard to find can it,so as you can guess am a bit p*** off .so anyone have a cat sitting in man cave I could borrow a couple days for mot when time comes
