  1. starting the car up I noticed after around 15 minutes of the engine being on the car started to idle roughly and there was a stronger smell of petrol before the car completely cut out. I started it again but it would just keep cutting out unless i held the revs up.

The whole journey home the car would cut out when I was slowing down for lights or roundabouts as the revs dropped.

The Battery has been ran flat recently if that could be linked with this? Any ideas?

  2. I have a cat’d exhaust now with no backbox which is sounding to loud for my liking at the moment wanna go quieter but not stock quiet just somewhere in the middle.

Want to avoid loosing power aswell I’ve looked at Milltek but they’re expensive, is it worth just have a backbox welded to my current? Just looking for options if anyone has any ideas

  3. Got my cars final map done today at Scooby Clinic after the engine build they done for me and its produced an impressive 350BHP and 390 Torque for its mods, can't believe how much power they managed to get out of it I can't recommend them enough.

Top work, very quick replies on any social media, always happy to help, I am very happy to now go and enjoy the car at last! :)

  4. The car is currently getting built at scooby clinic after the dreaded ringland failure and while it's a 400bhp build I'm not actually going for the power yet just building the engine for the future.

It is a 330s with very basic mods like Perrin inlet and custom exhaust not sure if it has got a sports cat or normal. Just wondering what kind of power to expect as I was expecting to see it pretty much stay at 330 as it was running 329 with a piston down.

  5. So my hatch is currently being built by Scooby clinic and I'm about to collect it to do some running in miles. Where I am at the moment down south I can easily fill up with vpower but when I move back to the Lake district in January I won't be able to get hold of vpower or Tesco 99 as the closest one is a 90-mile round trip.

This means I will have to use a lower fuel such as BP ultimate or Esso supreme at 97. I will be running one of these for my final map and I've been told it could actually make a 30BHP decrease because it's not vpower. How true is this or are they just being cautious not to get my hopes up?

  6. So my classic has been sitting for around 2 months and I went to drive it and it ran out of fuel after I topped it up with £10 worth of fuel it failed to start. This has been put down to at least one injector which has sucked up a grain of dirt or something and is stuck open.

Is there a way to tell which injector/injectors are stuck open and need to be replaced?

I've been told to remove spark plugs and when the ignition is turned on fuel will continue to leak from the stuck open injector? is this the case?

  7. So below I have attached the report from scooby clinic about my engine build. It's worrying seeing all those parts and I need to find out how much this will cost me as I want the 450 build. Notice there is a separate list of parts for getting the 450bhp after the engine is built just ignore that as for now I only want the engine built to take 450 then go for the power at a later date.

  8. So after looking online on the clinic website, it seems that for a build to safely run 450bhp will be costing me 5600 all VAT included. This is forged pistons, new bearings, block bored and honed and back together using ARP head studs uprated head gaskets and all new gaskets, uprated rods and closed deck conversion.
