Welcome to the club! I can't help you with the temperature I'm afraid but in regards to turbo timer, some guys stand by them and others don't use them. By the time I've sorted all my bits out or got my boy out the car it's basically cooled down the same if I had a timer. [emoji5]

Yeah you did say it was a mix match but there's no history of any engine work and its quite extensive. That's not to say it didn't happen.

The plastic bottle with flip lid is overflow/expansion tank.

Stick your nose in the overflow and smell for exhaust/petrol smell. Also check the overflow for bubbles while the car is running. That may indicate hg. There's also a sniff test a garage can do for you to detect hydro carbons.

I went with the dayco belt and pump package that icp sell. Some guys go for the gates belt. I've got no opinion either way as I'm sure they're both as good as each other in all fairness.

I got the dlc when it was free. Still don't have the game yet. I heard it'll be on games with gold soon so I'm just waiting.

Downpipe gasket just been done. This isn't a job that's getting done soon as it's not showing any signs of slipping but should the box need to come out it will all be getting done. I appreciate all the help guys! I'm swaying more to the pink box just in case I ever increase the power more. Don't want to have to strip it all again for the sake of the extra pay out first time round.

I tried all the comparison websites and none got close to what a specialist insurer offered me. I pay 660 for my turbo 2000 with mods. all others were over £1000 before declaring mods. Each to their own and I certainly wouldn't knock what any company can offer specialist or not. It's worth checking them all first as some specialist also offer club discount that many mainstreams won't. Good luck!

I always spoke good about sky but since ive only had one month of solid connection this year my opinion is starting to change.

I've had one before and really didn't like it as a daily. It's just my past experience with it that puts me off.

Fair do. Reason being is I've seen a bit of oil on the box. It smells like gearbox oil and my mech thinks its input shaft(I have no idea) but if the box is coming off for that I'll be doing the clutch at the same time to save doing it again any time soon.

Oh i might break the 300 one day. So will the pink box be suitable for 270? Are there different sizes to consider?

Just to mention, my clutch is fine and shows no sign of wearing out anytime soon. My main question is "when" the time comes for a clutch replacement is there a best clutch for my car. It's a turbo 2000 UK. I'm not after a paddle clutch but I would be keen on an uprated kit. I had a quick search on the forum but couldn't find anything specific to my question. No problem. I might look at changing the intercooler at some point to for both cosmetic and performance reasons. Any recommendations? Also will it need to be mapped in?
