screenswash was probably an optional extra in an audiIf the tints were the only thing on the car then I'd have asked him how he was measuring the darkness, if there were other mods that weren't declared or 'Un roadworthy ' issues that may be found then best to be polite and kiss !Removed! a little,
I know a young lad who's just passed his test, his family are very well off and bought him a brand new a3. He got pulled by the law asking him all kinds of stuff like how can you afford this, is it yours etc. He was polite and what not, old bill still not happy, wrote him a ticket for not having any screen wash in the bottle !

I was gonna pre order the ultimate edition yesterday off the dashboard until I realised Microsoft take the full payment when you pre order
-
Did you have to order your carbon bits from the US?
-
Nice one sparky it's coming along well keep us up to date.
-
I never realised that thanks Alex. So there will be 2 different tax scales then looks like I will have to get a new mustang in 2017 ;)

Nice one :)

Hopefully I'll only have to pay for one year at £485 then ill be onto the new rate. It's definitely a fairer pricing system. Why should the cheap to run cars that are on the road a lot more pay less. I think the new system is much better
-
Thanks Sam that's a good article. So its good to know there is gains to be had from an aftermarket top mount, it would have been even better if they had done dyno runs with a few of the intercooler. Also would still like to hear from anyone who as used the mishimoto ones before.
-
I've been looking at the mishimoto.co.uk top mount intercooler kits. Has anyone on here tried one and do you think it's worth shelling out £400 or is the job not worth doing unless I go for a front mount? I don't really want to do too much to the car that I can't easily put back to standard that's why the uprated top mount appealed to me.
-
I once saw 37 after starting the car at the top of a hill then rolling to the bottom :) I usually get 21
-
I'd say he's missed off some engine mods if he thinks he's got 370 bhp. But still the car looks lovely apart from the max power special spoiler so as long as everything is good mechanically you could end up with a very nice car
-
Sounds like a right pain in the !Removed!. Would the dealer not tell you if changing a pair would cure it? I'm guessing changing all four would solve it but would be a nightmare if the tyres have plenty of life left in them.
-
New seats sound good. What you going for? The shape of the front seats is a bit old fashioned now subaru should have done a recaro option :)
-
Nice one have fun :)
-
What wheels have you got now Scott? It looks spot on in the pic
-
Off the shelf from a reputable company I would say. Any decent manufacturer will have done dyno runs and made sure it has performance benefits as well as looks and more sound. A custom exhaust will probably just give more noise and there's more to making a good one than just making it bigger
-
Probably more chance of you getting that dog back than us getting a performance pack for the new sti then :(

The perrin intake doesn't require a tune and one of our members sparky is running one. Most of the kits that claim big power gains require a tune probably because there is a lot more air going in and as tidy said the ecu will only correct within a certain range. I've went for a k&n panel filter which probably has very little if any benefits but I do think I can hear the turbo a bit more since I put it in. I'm already at the point where if I was to go any further I would be throwing my warranty away, I'd love to add the milltek downpipe and sports cat and get it mapped to suite but it's a bit of a risk if there's any problems down the line.
-
Thats class !!! See i first went to subaru garage in chesire , to buy a brand new one , and they would warrenty anything aslong as it it was bought from them eg remap exhaust etc....(some lucky bugger getting a 500bhp built by them and there honouring the 3 year warrenty) so i think different dealers/Franchise's work differently .
I can't see how they could give warranty on that. The dealers don't approve the warranty claims, maybe they could lie and say that the car came back standard but then they would still have to send of the ecu info
-
Alex I think they can detect a remap. My dealer said the ecu stores a calibration code. If it goes in for warranty the code is read from the ecu and sent to subaru uk and if it doesn't match their code they know the ecu has been messed with.
