  1. So with sun beaming down I had to start. But I have to post this pic, more to annoy Gambit. LOOK BLUE SKIES!!!!! Anyways stripped the bonnet off, my car looks odd without it And with full trust in the weather report I covered the engine and set up the bonnet for prep After spray but before lacquer And now I'm in the process of lacquering. I HATE WAITING!!!!! Hopefully it'll look pretty when it's all dry and back on.
  2. Hahahaha it's beautiful blue skies here!! My bonnet is off and in mid spray at the moment :) Ohhhh quite interested in the sunstrip! How much???
  3. I know he's in Essex somewhere but will happily post stuff :)
  4. You could give Jamie Felus a shout, if you are on Facebook he has a page called Classic Scoobie Bitz, if you're not on Facebook give him a bell on 07770 596 334. He breaks and builds classic scoobs for a living and would appreciate the business.
  5. As it stands this morning Although the sun is shining and they reckon 17-21 degrees and I still have paint ;)
  6. Do you mean the head unit trim? If so they sell them in Halfords
  7. I put a fan heater in the Chav-cave and finished the last one! Only downside is that it's too dark now to take a pic of the car with the wheels done. I'll post a pic first thing tomorrow, but I gotta it's looking pretty tidy :)
  8. I will do the drums and calipers but it won't be today, maybe tomorrow if it stops raining long enough!
  9. I used to have a KTM 640LC, crazy bike!! Never once changed the front tyre, got through a few rears though ;)
  10. So the weekend arrived and the weather report said it'd be sunny, they lied! Still, not one to waste an opportunity and after reading Bazza's post about wheels I decided mine REALLY needed to be done. As I don't have the luxury of a garage I decided to close the front of my car port(more commonly known as the chav-cave) with a bit of tarp that I had This should stop the car port feeling like a wind tunnel. Next up I robbed both front wheels, washed, cut and masked up Threw a lick of flat black on them Flipped them and did the back, whipped the cards out and that was the front two done Oh and just as a reminder as to the hideousness of the colour they were As I type this I'm currently sat in the Chav-cave with one of the rear wheels all finished waiting to put it back on the car and start the last one but considering its a monsoon out there I'm gonna stay in here and stay dry for a little while :)
  11. Awesome choice!!! Are you removing the tyres to paint or masking up? If you are masking up use the playing card method, fastest way to do it :)
  12. I just looked at your pic, and dude seriously GO ORANGE!!!!! It would look awesome!!!!
  13. I used to have a black BMW 3series, I ran gloss black rims with red pin strip and the inside of the rims were red. It looked good but then I got all silly and bolted a NoS bottle on, sprayed the whole car in matte black and the rims went hazard orange! It looked so much better. Imo on a gloss black car go black and murder it ;)
  14. How do you which is the last comment? Someone could write on this post in 6, 8, 12 months time
  15. So now the evenings are lighter and tonight is a bit warmer I decided it's time to get something more done so I got home from work and ripped both headlights and sidelights out, this is the result Turned out quite nice, especially with the grill. Top tip for anyone else doing this LEAVE YOUR LIGHTS IN THE CAR!!! It's a nightmare trying to hold them and get the film on
  16. Soon as they're done pics will be up ;)
  17. The bolt that holds the indicator on too is an M6 thread
  18. Gimme 5minutes and I'll take a look at mine
  19. Yup that's the stuff! Also I've ordered myself some fly-eye film today, should be here by the weekend :D
  20. Cheers dude! I''ll have a pop at that then :)
  21. I'm interested in how to get them out too. The previous owner has painted mine black! I thought they were tinted until I used the hazard lights and noticed they weren't allowing any light through!
  22. Mines a Sport so I don't have this worry but to be honest if I were running a FMIC I'd probably go for a square motorcycle type plate and sacrifice a fog light
