Hi from Buckinghamshire
my 2p - I would go black chrome 18" with some tasty treads then as another member has done put some more winter orientated rubber on your existing ones and have a great all year round option

Advice needed please
Wotcha and welcome Jessica - yup as Gambit said he was struggling, if you want to keep it factory original you may have to go to Subaru themselves which I'm sure will be quite pricey. Can I ask why you wouldnt go for an aftermarket one - there is a place in south Wales that posted on the forum that would build you one for your car out of stainless steel so you may get the system sounding and looking exactly the same but with a lifetime guarantee?

flat spot
I dont believe it is a misfire as that would manifest itself throughout more of the rev range not just clear itself after a rev point As the flat spot isnt there constantly I would say you have an issue with fuelling. You reset the ECU and that cleared the problem for a short time but then it came back. Changing the ECU worked then it came back, changing the air flow switch worked and then it came back. I believe something somewhere is telling the ECU at that part of the rev range the mixture is running rich and the fuel is being cut as a consequence. As there are no fault codes the car thinks everything is fine and running correctly. So my personal suggestion comes back to the rolling road to understand what is the actual air fuel mixture at those revs and what info is being sent to the ECU and from where. If there was an issue with the injectors themselves it would show throughout the range but the fact that it does work some of the time points towards the physical stuff being ok but the signals being corrupted somewhere There are some nifty ODB attachments which will send info to your smart phone as you drive along - this may be useful prior to spending on a rolling road session if you want to continue to investigate yourself

4 branch stainless headers , question?
aaahh I see - note to self RTFP :D

4 branch stainless headers , question?
The sound will change as the lumpy uneven burble comes from the headers being different lengths - having the same length headers apparently removes the burble and makes it sound more like an inline 4

Hi from Essex
Is the bolt rattling in its thread or is it banging against the hull of your car?

the original 2.8i capri in blue I swear is what developed my thing for coupes - never owned one though, drove a 3.0 years later which didnt have any of the handling kits and it was like trying to man handle a canal barge :) after owning my mk1 astra I always liked the mk1 GTE's but never actually got to own or drive one- I think having now lived with the Impreza and s13 it is probably left as fond memory and not have a reality check

I like it - looks like a top job, when you take some more shots can you get one including the bonnet so you see the contrast ;)

That is cool - vw scirrocos (the V2) with the factory GTX bodykits and spoiler and s13 200sx's evoke fond memories although the scirroco was grossly underpowered and the steering wheel was too low for spirited driving as you kept banging your knees with your hands but with koni shocks, eibach springs and antiroll bars it handled like a go kart :P
