  1. could you also change the ECU for a Euro spec model?
  2. looking good - looking forward to seeing the finished article
  3. That would be great, no rush as and when - been thinking about this for a few years always seems to be something else to do as a priority
  4. I would be interested in seeing that seat mod on the RU do you have a thread on an FZR forum or a photobucket link you could share
  5. Wotcha and welcome - we have a few classic owners on here so hopefully some advice will be along shortly. It would be great to see some pictures of your car and also you could do some specifically for the wheels in the for sale section
  6. this is not going to end well - Im off to busy myself (hide) in the garage :P
  7. Mines an 89 R model - will be putting an old style R6 back end on eventually, its been a long term tweak as you go whilst trying to minimise down time, just put in a 6speed box and reassembled, then partially dissasembled as a coolant seal had failed, fired up last weekend to find a slight oil leak on cam cover - so got to pull the box carbs etc off again to get that sorted. Just picked up my mates 2000 R6 which has a compression problem on No.1 pot so once the FZR is finally finished I have that to investigate.
  8.  Wotcha and welcome Curtis - from your profile name it would suggest we also have something else in common as I have an FZR1000R to get my two wheeled tarmac fix
  9. That is a decent quote given the extent of mods to your car - result!
  10. the site is free - no fees just set up a profile as you have done then use the discounts from the section sounds like a pipe disconnected or broken - should be an easy fix
  11. it shouldnt necessarily fail on emissions then - could be that a good service, injector clean and a few miles with decent fuel will clear the system out and get it combusting closer to optimum and sort the emissions
  12. Wotcha and welcome :)
  13. in this case i would go new - you are clearly looking to take care of your car so having something as a known will give peace of mind driving
  14. does it have a de-cat pipe fitted?
  15. We had the same when we were looking, spoke to a friend who had both back to back and the scooby was easier to live with day to day, things like turning circle (lack of on the evo) just got on his nerves so will be interested in what your opinion is
  16. aaah so are we going cossie shopping anytime soon??
  17. Wotcha and welcome - a WRX would indeed be a welcome addition to your life - and can we expect some tasty shots when it does appear?
  18. nice looking motor - will have to give Steve a nudge get some stickers in the post for your lass
  19. Wotcha and welcome - I believe you are the first - we do have a chap from the Netherlands and one from Switzerland though
