What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Couldn't tell you that I'm afraid... My guess would be from the lights as the motor is at the bottom of the screen?

Is there one of those flexi rubber things that goes from the body to the boot? Wires often break in those after years of having stress put on them. Had it with a speaker in the imprezka

They'll still have the manual buttons on the steering wheel/tiptronic wizardry won't they? Still plenty of fun to be had if so

Welcome to the club. Those wheels are certainly bright aren't they? If you're on Facebook there's a few Subaru buying and selling groups that might come in handy for the spoiler

1996 legacy GTB spares or repair
1996 in silver. It does start and run, but not well. It's either a bad Earth, battery or alternator. There's also some sort of rattle from the n/s head intermittently, but I have a spare pair of heads to come with the care along with another load of spare parts. The check engine light is on too, it's for the o2 sensor. There's a chip in the windscreen. The exhaust manifold gaskets need replacing. And finally, the heater matrix leaks so is bypassed but I have a spare one to fit. Overall it's pretty tidy and has MOT until July (I believe). And as I mentioned has quite a few spare bits. It recently had new tyres all round, new clutch and timing belt. H&S stainless cat-back 4 pot brakes Remapped by Bob Rawle Turbo timer STI short block I would keep it and do the work but I simply don't have the space! £1100 but I'm very open to sensible offers. If I've missed anything feel free to ask. Car is located in Sidmouth Devon and would need to be trailered away

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
It's probably not been my best purchase. At least I can say I've had one! I'll pass it on in one- I could make a lot more breaking it but if I could do that, I'd probably just fix it again It's got quite a number of spare parts- it's all there to be a really nice car it just needs time. So I'm thinking putting it up at £1100 is fair to start with?

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Well I've been away for a few days for a friend's 21st (the £70 Saxo made it to Reading and back without any problems by the way) hence my lack of waffle for a while. Anywhoo, I went back to start the GTB up today and it's developed a really horrible rattle from somewhere around the n/s head. I've got a spare set of heads so they could just be changed what I don't have is somewhere, realistically, to do the work over winter and to rent somewhere round here for the time to do it would be another £500+ easily. I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to cut my losses on it and move on. Trying to keep it is nearly impossible. But don't worry, I'll still be getting another Subaru. I'm just debating between a brat or a non turbo gen 1 legacy!

It's just a 1.1. In all honesty, it's actually not as bad as I expected. Particularly for £70 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know! There also appears to be some sort of induction kit that has a feed from the exhaust manifold... Not to mention the sound system that's probably worth more than the car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I haven't stopped laughing it yet! Yeah, it's got a couple of minor niggles which if I can sort should turn me some profit, which would be excellent. Exactly, I've got plenty of time before the show season now so it should be 99% there (it'll never be finished, I'll always find something to do) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I've taken the decision to take my car off the road for a moth or two to try and find this electrical fault, put new gaskets through the exhaust and hopefully get the heater matrix back in! In the mean time I've picked up the most chav-tastic little Saxo. But for £70, I can't complain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most people use a hosting site like photobucket (never used it personally) or if you're on tapatalk you can upload them straight from mobile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll give it a good going over when I get hold of a new alternator. I've also got an earthing kit to go on it, so I'll get that on too if there's time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Managed to get her running again. The recovery man put a volt meter across the battery and seems to think the alternator has had it- which would explain everything that happened yesterday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I definitely sorted the leak in the up pipe, I can now use both turbos. However, I seem to have caused some sort of electrical gremlin while working on the car yesterday. I was driving to get some fuel and it started just dropping the revs to nothing as I was going along, then cut out and refused to start again. The temp gauge is also pegged to the top though the car never overheated. I've had to abandon it in a lay-by overnight and I'll get it recovered later today. I broke a mirror earlier this year, I'm starting to think the 7 years of bad luck thing might be true... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Which wheels?
Actually saying that, that's true for gen 2 and 3... Not 100% on yours. There's a site called which wheels fit or something like that, you find your car and it'll give you a list Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Which wheels?
Ones from imprezas will fit. Also MG ZT/Rover 75 wheels are a straight fit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
