  1. I think it's either the up-pipe or the manifold not quite tight enough, or more likely the join on the downpipes to the stainless section. I'm so pleased it's finally back on the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. There's a very slight leak from the exhaust somewhere and the idle needs to reset itself, but other than that all was well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is there a way of hitting it with something underneath to dent the metal above?
  4. Weren't these the same as the Suzuki swifts of the time? Should be easier to find parts for those
  5. I drove it :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Depends how you drive it really, if it's not your daily you probably won't notice that much. Then straight from Japan is definitely best. Just a thought, have you weighed it up against a 3.0 spec b? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Should be just as comfortable, obviously higher on insurance and fuel consumption. Straight from Japan it should be about as clean as they come. Could finding one in England and importing to Ireland be an easier solution? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Weather's looking good for it too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome to the club. Incredibly friendly bunch on here! I know of a gen 4 saloon that I think is being broken, I could find out Tuesday? It's got a black leather interior Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I can't wait to see this all together! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It's nice to have that bit of extra protection with the parallel set up- it's definitely not a necessity for my 300ish, but I just like the idea. Any excuse to buy shiny things... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Looking forward to seeing those going on! Are you going to change the fuel set up at all- parallel rails etc? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I wish I had the patience to be as meticulous as you are! I think I'll just try giving them and the inside a good clean and getting some new clips Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can't remember off the top of my head, somewhere north east way? The postage was free and was there in a day or 2 if I remember rightly... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Well I was going to ask about not having them as they're pretty shabby on my car, particularly the fronts. Then I remembered I've got the hole for the air filter on one wing and one the pieces of solenoid trickery in the other, so it's not my brightest idea of the day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Ignore me, it was going to lead to an even stupider question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Welcome! Give Alyn at AS performance a ring- he's a really helpful guy, and does fantastic prices on most things, clutches included Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Apologies if this sounds daft... But do you have your arch liners removed?
  19. Clutch master has decided it doesn't like me now. That along with a few other hold ups means I didn't get up to the re-map today. Pain in the !Removed! and wallet- £100 for a new one! I did get chance to pop over and see the mechanic I bought the short block from and usually go and see if there's a problem we can't solve- who told me the car will be fine to drive normally once the clutch is sorted, which is a bonus. Also got the new wheels on at last, so I should be finally up and running by the weekend. Getting a bit fed up of telling myself that now though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Plus Geoff and 1 other from UKLegacy. We've got enough room to fit bodies in the boot if they disagree Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Welcome to the club. I'd say you're probably a bit safer with a non turbo with regards to the engine being on its way out purely due to the fact the engine will have had less stress on it through its life. The usual things you'd check still apply though, rust, head gasket, signs of accident damage, clutch on the way out etc etc. It's also worth checking the service history, you don't want to be buying a car that hasn't had an oil change for 20,000 miles. Also make sure it's not due/overdue a timing belt change, if it is the price should reflect it. I'd maybe be a bit wary of cheap cars that have seemingly small problems- idle issues for instance- you'd be amazed how quickly you can burn through money with things like that! Best of luck! 22. Oh, and I suppose I'll try to keep the engine in the car for more than 10 minutes too
  23. Any show that's on a Sunday I'll try and attend, if it's within a reasonable distance And JAE sounds awesome so I'll try and get the time off work for that too!
  24. I'll stick to tearing engines apart before trying to understand the complexities of the female mind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. It'll be a good bargaining point for new bits for the car though ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
