  15. apologies , wasnt sure if commenting on original post would bump it back up. Anyway had to buy replacement headlight housing for 2005 outback as whoever owned it before clearly didn't have any patience changing bulbs and likes superglue to hold bulbs in! Ive got the grille off , undone all the screw bolts and plastic screws but it looks horribly like the front bumper has to come off too?? i presume its the square bracket type part with the keyhole cutout thats hooked over something at the sidelight side but despite best efforts i cannot get light out Please someone tell me there's a way to do it without taking the bumper off....?
  16. Was always going to happen but one of the bulbs blew so I've bought a replacement housing please please tell me the front bumper does NOT have to come off to change this got all the screws out , taken grille out but looks like bumper is stopping it coming out
  17. Thanks but it's the actual back of the light where the bulb sits and should then be held by the clip, both sides are broken only had car 4 weeks and not something you think needs checking !
  18. I've had several around the 2000 era and whilst I loved them all I had common issues with heads leaking and auto box starting to slip , neither of which aren't cheap. I've now got a 55reg outback and absolutely love it especially the manual far more economical than the 2000 autos too
  19. I've seen reports of dull headlights so bought good replacement bulbs - sounds easy ? wrong - both headlight fittings are broken, clips missing and one bulb appears to have been superglued in!! any recommendations where to get cheapest poss replacements? Look like £250 on eBay thanks
