Ok, next question, I'm going to Halfords shortly to buy a new battery and I know the premium membership I bought yesterday gives me 15% off but I haven't had my welcome pack through yet. How does the discount work, is it a code, or do I just need to show them proof of membership?
Your'll receive a card in the post your'll need to take along to use to get the discount.

Very true that man!!
If your not going to do the work yourself, I would look at a new model, labour on top of the above will be a good bargain as ScoobyGhost is saying plus a few quid to tweak the new model too!! Labour will blow this way above the turbo model.

Short shifter - £15 eBay
Lighter flywheel - £200-£400 eBay (cheaper ones are hit and miss)
Airfilter - £45 Scooby world - no point for a mushroom one
Cams £100 - £600+ depends how far and new you want from used or not.
Cheaper than a new car??
If you want more power still then yes!! Need a turbo model, can't ask a non turbo to be as quick as a turbo model, it's like asking a 3wheeler to have the same handling as a Scooby!!! Lol :D

I agree with above, airfilter change to K&N or similar (cheap option) then flywheel and maybe a short gear changer as well??
I had a lighter flywheel in my Escort Mk2 they make a difference, plus a short gear shift will help with acceleration as it will all be that bit quicker too. :D

Thought so,
I'll check my plate in a bit, haven't got a picture but I'll check it against yours when I have a look

Little extras like airfilter change will help if it's all low cost your looking for?
Mine made a difference by changing the air filter yes mine is STI / turbo, but it will help on any car with air flow. :D

I've been quoted £1,000 on a wrap and 2k on a tidy up full spray or 4k for the all singing all dancing paint job.
I'm tempted on a wrap too

Hi looking for a set of bolts / nuts for a STI boot spoiler for a V1 classic, in total is x6 bolts and nuts....
Thanks

A clear earthing issue / wiring issue, I brought an alarm for my classic import V1 as it hasn't got one and the wiring system is confusing for sure, so got a local garage to sort mine out in case I wired something wrong and got your issues.... I would try and remove the alarm system or disconnect it and see if your still having the same problems.
