  1. i have the same dan, well a skoda not a s-max tho i looked at one on friday lol

It's not the same driving the S-max but it has all the extras on it, but it's comfy and it is what it is, but after all I drive 4-5k miles every month for work so my Scooby would be serviced every month!! Lol, and the fuel bill for that too!! Dread to think!!!

Plus I can use it for holiday or days out with the family too being a bigger motor!! The Scooby is luckily a toy for shows etc.... But after driving a diesel for soooooo long and having this you do notice the fuel gauge going down quicker!! (Might also be my heavy foot)

  2. Get and have both??? Lol

My normal car is a S-Max diesel which I use for work due to the miles, as I get 620-650miles per tank, Mrs has her little Renault for the school runs which gets £20 of fuel for 4-5wks, and the Scooby is a Toy to enjoy after a long old week which when I look at it it uses £5 of fuel, start her up and that's another £10 gone!!! Ha ha thankfully it's a Toy and not the main car!!!!!!

  3. Worthing area...... That's good, I'm near Yapton way.....

There is a get together this Friday at Bury Hill 7pm if your up for it? We could meet you at the Petrol Station near the McD's say 6:45-6:50pm?? The one in Arundel by the big round about.

With regards to the engine the only thing I hear wine is me watching the fuel gauge!!!! Ha ha ha.

Don't seem to have any problems with mine, but might be worth asking the crew on Friday if you see another model the same.........

  4. Hey all,

I'm looking to blacken up my handles and rubbers, is there anything I can use?? I've seen the same old black to black stuff but that's for bumpers...... Will this work on my handles and rubbers??? As I can't seem to see anything else out there??? Or clearly looking in the wrong place.. Lol

    Thanks in advance....

  5. What's the cost of a smile when you start her up??? Lol

I'm on 83k miles nothing needed other than a new rad in Jan & tyres, look after them and they will look after you!!! Thrash it and abuse it then it won't last and money will be thrown at it time and time again!!!!

If you throw in the towel and start again, who knows what needs doing on another one in a few months time??????

    Stick with it!!!!!

  6. I'm happy to drive, as that's what it's all about, seems a shame Goodwood isn't taking off as its a great lads/blokes day out and inbetween Hampshire / West Sussex and easy for all directions to come from. Doesn't cost anything unless you want to go round the track, and more to do. I've been to a few meets before where nothing can be done than stand and chat by the cars.... Which is ok for the first 10-20mins, Unless there is something to do in Southend or Waterlooville??

Happy to rotate venues too, if we can get a 2or3 good spots to do things too then game on.

  7. Welcome Helena,

Got to love a classic!! I've got the classic STI model..... Been really happy with it too, just changed the airfliter to a K&N panel filter for a little increase on performance and help on fuel (ha ha) we've got a good meet in at Goodwood race course only trouble it's a tease in wanting me to go round it now!!! Ha ha

    Speak and catch up soon

  8. O yes definatly more laid back than "mainland" roads lol

but thats only because most the drivers are 60+ and cant see 2ft in front of the bonnet or are driving at 15mph so they can enjoy the views as they do :@ :@ :@

have to let us know next time ya over mate :D

Will do, when I'm over I always stay in the hotel over there (as work pay) the last time I was over a tractor overtook a few cars and I couldn't help but laugh till I was crying!!!! Lol, I normally stay in the one and only premier inn on the island...... I should be over again in June, so will let you know.
