  1. Use the valve or the existing gasket as a template and save some money..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1311.R1.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xgasket.TRS0&_nkw=gasket+paper&_sacat=0
  2. 2001 VW Passat TDI was my first car and a real money pit. Every single common fault with that body/engine happened to mine, got rid of that for a R plate 2.0 petrol Vauxhall Vectra which was dull but reliable. Didn't own that for too long as I was bored and got a BMW E39 528i. was an awesome motor and was sweet as could be when I sold it with 160000 miles on it to buy a BMW E60 530d a good car but being diesel I eventually got bored. Currently own a 1997 Impreza STI V4 import. I also own what I would say is the most comfortable, smoothest and easiest car to work on and of the cars I have owned it has the most toys out of all of them even though it is the oldest car I've ever owned and that is a P plated Mercedes W140 S320 Limo.
  3. I live in a terraced house so cant always park right outside to run my hose so I get a couple of watering cans. One 10 litre watering can will rinse half my classic. Bit of a chore having to go and get more water if needed but at least I can wash it myself. I trust no one to wash and work on my car lol. A couple of trips to a garage jet wash is quite expensive imo and would pay for a watering can. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  4. 215/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is what I'm running. Can't fault them.
  5. BMW M235i is what I'm seeing. Its even got the hofmeister kink on the rear quarter window. It does look good but not Subaru enough for me imho.
  6. Apologies if already posted elsewhere but saw this on subaru.co.uk SUBARU RECALL NOTICE: IMPREZA MODELS (2004 – 2007) As part of its quality processes Fuji Heavy Industries, parent company to Subaru Automobile has issued an official recall campaign relating to possible front passenger air bag SPI inflator failure. The recall notice applies only to Impreza models (including WRX and STI) built between 2004 and 2007. The recall does not affect any other models in the Subaru range. The vehicles affected are equipped with front passenger air bag SPI inflators manufactured by air-bag maker Takata. The recall has received widespread media coverage as Takata supplies a number of Japanese vehicle manufacturers. It has been found that the inflators in the passenger airbag may experience an alteration over time, potentially leading to over-aggressive combustion in the event of an airbag deployment, leading to risk of injury. Subaru UK is advising owners of all Impreza models built between 2004 and 2007 to contact their local dealer at their earliest convenience to have the front passenger airbag inflator replaced free of charge. Please note, this applies to passenger side airbags only and we therefore advise you avoid seating occupants in the front passenger seat until the work has been carried out. Please contact our service department to confirm whether or not your vehicle is affected by this recall and to make a booking for the work to be done at your earliest convenience.
  7. Mine was mapped on tesco but runs better on v power. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  8. Well I only do 5500 miles per year at most with both cars so mpg isn't really one of my concerns. I just buy a car if I like it really. At the mileage I do, life's too short imho.
  9. I do about 180 miles to a tank (JDM GC8 STI). About 18 mpg when calculated brim to brim. Happy as I'm pushing almost 360 bhp. For comparison my other car a Mercedes W140 S320L does 15.5 mpg at 230 bhp lol
  10. Small wheels with high sidewall tyres would be my first thought. Most aftermarket parts are aimed at stiffness for road and track unless you spend big money on rally parts imo.
  11. Cheers aucky. Gambit I know moves are a pain, don't go out of your way for me mate.
