  1. Got a 1 metre square sheet of 1.5mm ally for the bonnet scoop 😜 So may have a little play with that the weekend
  2. Hmmmmm, dishwasher eh.... I wonder..........
  3. I've got my heads stripped down ready for a refurb, anyone know how/where to get them cleaned to get all the carbon and cr-ap off of them 🙂
  4. Repaired sump and put that on and stripped heads down ready for cleaning, valves lapping, oil ways and oil restrictor cleaning and stud holes drilled out to 14.2mm for the head studs
  5. The KB one apparently has 3x the wall thickness and is bent properly unlike the bend in the oem
  6. 🙂👍 I saw somewhere that someone was double tubing the area prone to failure
  7. Lols, I was gonna brace my oem one up that I've had in the car a couple of months, but I got a sticker with the killer b one hahaga
  8. No mate, no track work or any fast road really, as I mostly don't drive like a tit anymore just want something to give me that grin factor when I ever stamp on the loud pedal and to be reliable
  9. I think it's cos they are guaranteed not to break like the oem ones, it does seem steep for a pick up tube, but they are very well made and are made/welded by hand by the look of it, I just couldn't have the worry of an oem one breaking and ruining my engine, it's a big leap from £36 oem to £175 for this but I had to have one to sleep better at night 😆
  10. Starting to get bits on it now 🙂, that killer b pickup is a lot of money for a small thing, spose its peace of mind tho... Gonna get heads stripped this weekend, the baffle in the sump has a crack at one of the mounting points (same as the one on my car, must be another scooby thing) so gonna tig that up tomoz before I fit it
  11. Cheers mate, I got those ones, it's the exhaust ones I need, the ones without the avcs, I think I'm gonna take them off my engine when I pull it
  12. It's got 106k on it now, I've done one headgasket, I presume it's the other, is there a set time for a scoob hg to last, they seem to suffer from what I read, just can't see the point in spending any money or time on this lump, if I have to pull it it may as well stay out till other one is done 😕
  13. Oh, and I need two new ceramic ? Cambelt pulleys as I broke both getting them off, whoever had fitted the retaining bolts had used locktite on all 4 pulley bolts, I had to weld 19mm nuts to the Allen bolts as they would not come undone with an Allen set and beaker bar, just destroyed the bolt head, not a lot of fun that day lol
  14. Oil pump, cambelt kit, clutch, turbo, uppipe, flywheel (probs use one from my engine and get it skimmed, I think that's mostly it, gotta lap valves, fit new stem seals maybe get heads refaced/skimmed and get head stud holes drilled out to 14.2mm, I'm sure there's more tho lol oh, gonna do tumble valve delete too will order oil pump this week, was told to fit rcm 11mm by builder, so that what it'll have gotta find out about cambelt as want to be up near 380-400bhp and have read that probs need uprated belt ?
  15. Looks like headgasket has failed/is failing on my scoob, gonna try and nurse it along with kseal etc as not really at a point to get this done but if it goes good style then this may have to be brought forward (credit card taking a few broadsides) (accompanied by some very sideways looks from the wife)
  16. Gulp....... 🙈
  17. Throwing some more F@cKS into it due to headgasket failure...
  18. Good to know ! Thanks mate
  19. Hmm, think it's headgasket that's gone and pressurised the rad and split it, have chucked some kseal in it and found a second hand ally rad for £80, just need it to keyp going for a few more months on this engine 😳
  20. Yes, did read that savs, may order two sets of supertech then and use them on both, maybe the seller will do 16 exhausts
  21. Pick up arrived today, so that can go on with sump, then can get on with heads and porting headers, and get them fitted
  22. Couldn't find one on there mate
  23. They are out of stock in their site 😕 Race spec performance is the one I'm seeing on the bay, don't know if they are any good
  24. The eBay jobbies are £129, will have a look at japspeed soon as I've finished applying the two part steel rad weld gloop/epoxy type thing
